Colony Event Devastation

So i gotten my first colony event(Devastation). One on Dragonus and another on Vheabos VI.
I have completed 4 colony projects on Dragonus & Foulstone, 2 on Janus. Went with Naval rep projects so i've got an escort ship and Rank 7 Imperial Navy reputation whre i bought and equipped all the vendor ship gear.

Now the problem is the Dragonus event threw me against 7 Dark Mirror Light Cruisers which summon their own Voidraven Bomber. On the first round, 1 cruiser took out my escort. Then 3 other cruisers+bombers took me out. I didn't even get a turn to fire.
Is this normal? Feels like the game pit me against a very high level colony event when i'm way underleveled.

Yeah, this event is kinda ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up on higher difficulties. You need the talents to go first and you need fast speed and either 3 torpedo salvos or empyrean storm ready to nuke them from safe distance.

Basically your voidship needs to be higher level. I got it early when I didn't have any levels and it was impossible to win without lowering the difficulty.

You need to get the skill that lets you fire 3 torpedoes in a single turn and the talent that makes you always go first and even then You will have to spend an ungodly amount of time tryin to outmaneuver 7 cruisers and their bombers that you cant really hit with other weapons because of the high evasion they have. They also have very high damage 3x attacks and a bomber summon. I am playing on unfair, I believe the voidship combat is locked at hard. I managed to get it done only in chapter IV, voidship level 8.

I ignored the Devastation event since i'm way underleveled. It somehow disappeared after i played for a couple of hours. Not sure if its a bug or the event got resolved by the colony.
