I could be wrong though.
I should have mentioned that in my post. My test was shoddy because it was just for me. But you have to check manually before and after the kill in say your character window. You will see a mention of it in the dialogue window, but enemy NPCs will give like 1-3 exp on death. So when I was fighting that Chaos Spawn I was quite sure It jumped about 53 exp. The 1-2 garbage enemies didn't give that 50exp jump I don't think. Likely the 3ish exp as per usual.
Does anybody know if opposing daemons will attack each other? For example, if I summon a Khorne daemon into a Tzeentch fight, will they fight each other or just aggro the player?
What do you mean? You are always at level 16 at the very end of the C1 boss fight. If somebody were at level 17, that would be news.
I think it has to do with the Veil. I kept my veil in check like below 40% and never got the spawns this game in that fight. My last game i got it high and the two chaos spawns spawned. Now that I think about it... that may be a scripted event that does give xp as opposed to normally spawned ones.
That would explain why I had 100ish xp difference although like I said before there's too many variables to be sure.
Easiest way to check (I would have if I hadn't already saved over the test save form last night):
1. Get to a point where you're about to kill a spawned daemon outside of a boss fight.
2. Check your character sheet experience. Make note of number.
3. Save.
4. Kill daemon
5. See if dameon gave exp by rechecking exp in character sheet, or going back to previous save if you forgot the number to see if there's any difference.
to OP: easiest way to check is to use ToyBox and via it - look on XP stat changes right in combat.
Anyway, if anybody is unlocking 2nd archetype before the Act 1 boss and that's 100% due to psyker daemon spawns, then that settles it.
But I doubt that's true because all of my friends unlocked the 2nd archetype immediately after the Act 1 boss and, in my case, I did kill psyker spawns along the way.
