Where's the Distress Signal Zone Bunker/Thorough Investigation Achievement? (Spoilers)
Trying to figure this out. Find a small dungeon on a world called Distress Signal Zone. As part of the zone I've dealt with the ambush and I believe achieved successes on all the skill checks and have investigated the transmitter then destroyed it with a demolitions check. Doing so gave a clue that there's a bunker nearby that might also be apart of his trap, and Heinrix also says we should investigate further.

But for the life of me I can't seem to find any way to access this bunker, not even going back to the ship to see if it was a different landing zone. Looking online seems to reveal there's an Achievement Called Thorough Investigation that's related to this bunker, but no information on finding it.

Do I need to return with one of the Eldar companions to discover it, or am I just missing something obvious/its bugged?

The bunker is on the ice planet, Cradle of Khepri system. For the achievement you should use a demolition check on the transmitter and, after that, a perception check on the destroyed transmitter saying that some cables are visible. Lastly, go to the ice wall on the left side(follow the cables), a demo check again. Their is bunker

just want to add my experience to this thread:

At first after completing the fight against the turrets, I blew up the transmitter, but then there was no awareness check at all. I reloaded a save game, and again blew it up, but then magically there was a 80% awareness check on it which I passed. So I think just loading a save game fixed it.

There should be no dancing around this quest, as the game has been released for a while and is not some kind of indie game. Devs just ignore so many quest bugs and continue to release DLCs. Sad but true.

Figured out how to make it work -- you MUST turn the cogitator off before blowing the structure up to get the awareness check on the device after blowing it up. If you just blow it up, you won't get an opportunity to do the awareness check.

Sorry for the necro but I just ran into this scenario and I think I figured it out. I did a full walkaround of the area before I triggered the turrets. After I fought the turrets, I went through the transmitter stuff that you're supposed to do, passing all the checks. Then I walked up to the ice wall and... nothing happened.

What finally worked is I went back to the ship and changed out my party, then I came back and one of my party members succeeded on a -20 awareness check (on Unfair) that revealed the option for the demolition check. My awareness is quite high on several of my party members (including a 110 on my highest) so it's not likely I low rolled the check, but it's still possible. I suspect that maybe checking the wall before doing the transmitter locks out the units from trying it or something, like maybe the roll is set to impossible but still actually checks it? In any case with my B squad I got lucky rolling an 18 on someone with 40 awareness after the transmitter was blown up. Hope this is helpful for someone.

I myself have had a lot of really high rolls in the last 3 days so it is possible to miss stuff and I know my group has missed stuff.
