He has a lot of funny one liners, disproving glances and side eyes haha
The problem is unless you want him for meta-reasons the game really doesn't give you a reason to give him the chance, as at this point in the game ou already have a full party. Thus not really needing him for help, and up until that point as before he's just an antagonist who will betray and lie to you at every turn.
Apropos companions: the secret ones all need a complete rework. Not in terms of build. They are completely devoid of dialogue, banters or special companion quests. My disappointment was immeasurable.
Depending on who you bring and the circumstances, some of your companions might not make it. Why keep the traitorous eldar?
Sure, Maz is your enemy and attacking your stuff but Yrliet deliberately lied and betrayed you. You can count on Maz being so angry and revenge hungry that hes at least temporarily trustworthy, he stabbed you in the chest where Yrliet stabbed you in the back.
On the bright side modders can probably use the secret companions as a template to build a Xeno's mercenary system off of since the one requested feature that we knew Owlcat wasn't going to give us is the ability to recruit non-human mercenaries.
Looking forward to that, atm I am the pet but honestly, it's fine, lol. His VA is outstanding, though.
As for Marazhai, recruiting him made a certain level of sense at the time. You ain't friends, oh Warp no, but you do have a common goal. Escape the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that is that section of Commorragh, and kill the people responsible for both of you being made into slaves in the Dark City.
The Dark Eldar are sadistic bastards, but they aren't (all) completely insane. It's in Marazhai's rational interest to work with you, because he needs you a lot more than you need him, so he'll play ball for a time. Once you're out of Commorragh, then bets are off, as they always are dealing with Dark Eldar once it becomes more suitable to them to stab you than talk to you because things like loyalty and morality are alien concepts to them, but hey. Right then and there, he's an extra pair of blades to shove into the people responsible for you both being in a bad spot.
And afterwards.. Well, while he does take some work to get him housetrained, he's interesting to keep around, I feel.
Yeah, it wasn't great, I'll say. Still, killing him wasn't bringing the crew back, so I just made it clear that he'd be locked in a chamber, alone, every time we were in the Warp, with no opportunity to go killing.
My friends laughed when I showed them Marazhai's response to that.. https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/333776858493747223/1186207010090385448/image.png
Your own Enforcers kill more on the Ship then Maraz ever could.
Argenta killed someone innocent who simply was a witness to her crimes - while being clear minded.
Our innocent little Navigator girl, praise be, accidentally makes people claw their eyes out or jump laughing into ventilators or kill each other simply because she has "mood swings".
