All void battles are same save-load idiocy just to know what is you up against.
Some of them become a little tolerable with ship skills and gear, but shields upgrades are stupid. Like what the hell is energy damage? Blast damage? Kinetic? What type of damage is that stupid DE super damage burst that looks like rockets? Am i supposed to go into battle, be decimated turn one because enemies ALWAYS have a jump on you for some retarded reason, reload, swap gear and try again?
Dev that designed these battles are clearly incompetent at his job.
As for enemies getting the first move, once you have the escort frigate they almost always target that first. So you'll lose the escort in 1-2 rounds (it respawns each fight though, no cost), but that buys you time to kill 2-3 enemies and reload for another run without taking a scratch.
Except you have no system upgrades, ship skills, gear and escort ship at the start.
So you try blindly poke at every encounter trying to find easy enough one to level up, saving and loading most of the time.
Devs missed their mark again with the whole "mighty sovereign" setup. Rogue Trader can afford buying pirate ships as mercs en masse, top of the line gear and ship, even few fleets.
Here i feel myself like a beggar, kowtowing to Navis Imperialis trader just to buy a rusty cannon line.
This battle is completed in 1 miserable round, you just need to destroy both ships on your turn, so they will no longer receive reinforcements and the battle will be won. The dialogue before the battle directly talks about this. That's it, no suffering or overcoming.
Just don’t write now that this is also impossible.
Simply because every topic that asks for any help these days gets flodded by people like you saying, and I quote:
"Kek, git gud scrub!"
They did, and it is uncheesable to my knowledge, like mage generals in Wrath.
Yeah, I guessed that too.
Probably still needs cheats to progress.
