Yes! that worked for me.
I put Pascal on the frontline to let him get knocked down against Chonos and when he did, the debuff went away. Thanks. I am hope i did not miss anything that would do it a normal way as intended but i am ok with this.
- Is he cured when you beat Chtonos? Mine wasn't, despite this being the top result for how to cure him. Because it's so buggy, many people are 100% certain that this is the solution.
- Will the Haemonculous cure him like he does Jae? No, his services are locked behind a limited resource, which is not communicated to you until after you expend this resource.
- Are you even able to beat the Chtonos without a guarantee of taking an injury on a downed party member? It doesn't seem so, unless you luck out with Yrliet's initiative, or remember to take Helmet of the Devoted Protector on *someone*. 2 seemingly guarunteed crits in a single turn, dealing 40-60 damage each, plus 10 movement, does not seem counterable.
This is just a way to punish a heretical playthrough, and isn't intelligently designed whatsoever. I'm going to use Toybox to fix this, and I do not recommend anyone to play this game without these cheats enabled. It's the only way to overcome the lazy coding and design.
