You get him in act 3.
I mean his stats are great, but its a matter of his class choice for him kinda suck. He is an arch militant soldier which is a role filled all to well by argenta already. He just seems far better served to be a warrior or at the very least a vanguard.
But maybe it's me and my playstyle, I dunno. Although I should add that using ToyBox you can respec and mod Ulfar the way you like and make a proper astartes out of him.
even with his really good armour and dodge stats almost every shot of a burst attack hit him which brought him to really low health every time i tried to use him
Then again Argenta probably could get the same and with the damage reduction mon-keigh hide cloak she would be immortal.
1. He is big - all area attacks will regularly hit him, and there will be no room for maneuver and positioning.
2. His health level is at or below that of your standard characters.
3. He is limited with things and is really inferior to the sister of the battle in all respects.
I think the Space Marine as a companion should have been pushed into its own DLC (along with other large creatures). VDLS introduces new classes and archetypes.
