Stuck at Quest "Blades in the Void"
Stuck on the "Answer the call for help from grantis" part. The Palatium Stellos system doesn't have a warp route and I don't have enough navigator's insight :-) The whole mechanic is complete nonsense...

You do need to conserve navigator insight, and only go for green routes between Footfall and your colonies, which means a lot of routes to secondary systems will remain yellow, or even orange, and red, meaning you will have to go for detours to explore or return to various systems for future quests instead of going there directly. This is especially important, because there are a few systems you will have to manually create routes for, which costs 3 points, and depending on the system's importance and location, you will want to spent another point or two to bring it to yellow or even green. If you husband navigator points, you will eventually have enough of a surplus to create a couple of green paths between critical systems, greatly easing up warp travel. If you go for green routes when you don't have to, you're going to be in for a bad time.

That would be a point that you should know beforehand. But nowhere is there a word about it. Clear dev error...

So like...is there any way to save this or am I just ♥♥♥♥♥♥ if I don't have the Points to open a Route now?

you can get a random event on yellow or higher paths, that can give you I think 6 (maybe 8) Navigator points it can happen multiple times but only seems to happen when out of points.

I still have one left so I have to use that one up first?
Also what does that even look like so I can go ahead and try and skip all the others?

Thanks for the Help!

I still have a single point at the moment, so I have to use that one up before those events spawn?

Also who thought that is a fun thing people want to do? "Grind Navigator Points". lol
I said it seems to happen, I'm not sure that it only happens when at 0.

also it's basically a way to ensure that if YOU use up all your points you have a way to get more and don't get yourself "stuck".

I beat the game on my first playthrough and only hit 0 once. and admittedly it was my choice that caused that as I was making paths green between my colony worlds.

You can get the event even with a handful Navigator points. I got it twice with more than ten, allowing me to go for a couple of long, convenience routes I made green, burning 12 points for them alone. As long as you go for green routes only between your colonies, using a single green path initially and conserving points, you can constantly maintain a surplus. However, most of the map will be yellow and orange, and you will be making detours to use the good routes. That way you will both avoid the nastiest warp events, yet will have to go through zones that guarantee you will be facing various random encounters.

Keep in mind, that the event that gives navigator points should happen only when travelling yellow or more dangerous routes, not green ones.

This is infuriatingly ♥♥♥♥. Im stuck at fishing for this event, which hasnt happened even once for me to get there. WTF?
R4ampage Dec 17, 2023 @ 1:00pm
Yeah this sucks, I have not seen this event once before either and haven't gotten it yet while grinding for it, this really should NOT be a thing.
khinra Dec 17, 2023 @ 6:00pm
I did get it eventually but it probably took me 3 hours just travelling along yellow routes.

I was also stuck here. Scanning planets doesn't give anything. I had to travel between unsafe and dangerous routes. I got an event where a chaos space marine boarded my ship. Killing him and his demons gave me 3 navigator points.

This is really annoying design.
Ragond Dec 20, 2023 @ 5:34pm
The event I got was just a text based event. Something about dodging through rips in the warp or something on a yellow path. Gave me 9 nav points.

Farmed yellow jumps for about an hour before it dropped.

This is really stupid. It's bad enough that the game doesn't tell you about navigation points beyond "Yeah, they exist" But to tie a resource to a time-sensitive quest event...and then make the recovery method an annoying treadmill travel system. Seriously? I'm on my sixth red-route run, dealing with Chaos Spawns and Space Marines for no loot, little to no XP, and the fading hope of getting enough navigation points so I can go to Grantis to find out "oh yeah, that ship's totally dead now....you can continue the story." This is not fun, it's not engaging, and it's not making my experience with the game anything but tedious.

I got stuck at the same spot. I had 2 nav insights which wasn't enough to open the route to the worlds for Blades. After lots of goofing around on yellow lines I finally got an encounter that gave me +3 points. The Navigator suggested a shortcut which led to a Chaos Marine jumping my ship, but after the fight I had the points I needed.

Oddly though, just before that fight I noticed a red warp path to those three systems that I know wasn't there before. The encounter I mentioned above hit me on the way to the spot where the line was. So I'm wondering if the devs snuck in some sort of failsafe.

im at forgotten twins with three nav points... but the game wont let me chart a new course... am i missing something ?
