How to fight the governor on Janus

Hi,
i am aware that the boss fights are difficult but i am stuck with the fight on Janus at the end. The maiden is summoning new Demonettes every second round and the 4 guards are shredding my team. There is also no cover in the room before the summoning place.
How did you guys fight here?
I tried to lure them into the hallways but the guards are still a problem. And the seemingly endless flood of demonetts.

I had my PC with a Sniper/Heavy Bolter Soldier + Arch-Militant build, Yrliet as sniper, Abelard as tank, Cassia and Jae as Support for a lot of extra turns and other buffs, Henrix as Support for resolve, defense and healing.

Abelard funneled the enemy to one of the two "entries". So there were all clumped up for my PC who tear them apart with the Sniper+Bolter combo. Cassia and Henrix supported those two.
Jae and Yrliet stood at a position where Yrliet could snipe the Maiden, while Jae supported her.
I didn't rush into the chamber where the Maiden was, but stayed at entry area (aside from Yrliet and Jae) and played it "defensively" until only the governor was left. Only then did my team "rush" in. My team barely took any damage from the enemies.

I also had the Aeldari allies coming in. Which meant that I had to really play around with positioning so that they wouldn't shred my team with their friendly fire burst damage whenever they could.

I found the Deamonettes among the easier chaos enemies to deal with. In this battle they just funnelled down one of the archways where melee & sniper support could handle them. Just need to reduce their dodge and they don't last long. Yrliet is good in this if you have her to keep herself safe while reducing enemy stats & taking off huge damage (Made her a bounty hunter and she has plenty of skills to enhance aim & critical chance). Also reduces the need to force your way through the enemies as you can snipe the summoner easily.

Also, I keep forgetting Argenta's prayer ability is damaging to demons in 5-tile radius. Helpful when they're bunched up

My assassin build is crap then. Though not sure how you got Yrliet that high with a the 3 talents you get to pick by level 20. unless you mean 250-400 as a sum of 2 attacks?

You should be 20 level here. Guess you'd ignore optional content and rushed to story? I come around ~25 level or even higher.

Yes, sum of 2 attacks. 300-400+ per a single hit is only under Heroic extra turn :) But it could be a bug too as I'm able to use her main nuke ability multiple times under it.

Nah, just that I didnt go out of my way to avoid it and Janus was the first main planet I encountered. 20 is perfectly fine for this fight even on unfair.
And the second one is a bug. "In My Sight" is not supposed to trigger on extra turns.

I used a bolter, chain sword, and the aliens sniper to fight her

In My Sight is garbage. Assassin have a nuke ability that increase enemy dodge but providing an extra damage (and crit multiply it). But with Lethality 150+ you do not care about enemy dodge (or armor) and excess BS is translated to crit chance so ...

You probably won’t be level 20 yet if you do Janus first which the game kind of pushes both with its location and through dialogue.

I'm playing RPGs for ages :) If game allow me to do side-quests first - I WILL do them first :)

Yeah as said basically pull your boot straps up, shout for the emperor, and bum rush the summoner, make sure you bring the eldar check, she can auto hit people from across the map, abuse that.

Take the left hallway, you can get super close to her with your entire team. Was a tough fight on daring. The eldari sniper comes in handy, if you specc'ed her assassin her free bleed shot does wonders in this fight.

Keep in mind the maid stop summoning demons and attack if there's anyone in melee range so i made my melee companion rush the maid to stop the demon summoning.

Had to spread my party out due to the stun grenades and amount of burst fire and I focused down on the range troopers as they can hit hard with their guns.
