Act 2 what determines the color of the signet
Anyone know how you get the black signet at the end of act 2? I know it has to do with the answers you give since I got white or red depending on what I answered but what are the optimal answers to get the black signet? Does it also depend on what you did in act 2 as well?

you have to Purge the Forge world, don't assist pirates, Kill the eldar on Janus, no compromises.

I too and trying to figure this out... I can only get white and red right now...

I got the feeling black ring is only possible if you used dogmatic resolution for every major event in chapter 2.

I was looking for this, honestly I find it funny that my *HERETICAL* run got scarlet, (and I mean, I picked every single heretical option I could. Full on heretic and freedom) but my iconoclast run got stuck with white. lol

I'm just a White ring-er :(

Hmm, I was extremely dogmatic in my run, with some inconoclast decisions mixed in. I was never heretical at all. And yet, I received only the white ring?

/shrug. If I had it to give, I'd give XC a grey ring, one level below white, for being a moron.

Err, spoiler alert?!!?

During the interview with him he tells you what he didn't like about your doings. I suppose if you had avoided these things - no matter what decisions there were - you would get black.

Since he is himself a heretic, I doubt it is about dogmatic. His "the end justifies the means" approach is clearly heretic. Heinrix tells us himself - and only slightly veiled - that the members of the inquisition come into contact with heresy the most, and that many succumb to temptation sooner or later (Emmelina being the case in point).
That is hilarious LOL.
But it makes sense.

White Signet of the Inquisition:
* Persuation +15
* Inquisitor's Command ability 1/battle, which grants +20 momentum, and cures burn, bleed and toxin and gives +(wearer's persuation/7) temp wounds to allies in 5-cell radius

Scarlet Signet of the Inquisition:
* Persuation +25
* Inquisitor's Decree ability 1/battle, which grants +30 momentum, and cures burn, bleed and toxin and gives +(wearer's persuation/7) temp wounds and armor% to allies in 5-cell radius

Black Signet of the Inquisition:
* Persuation +40
* Inquisitor's Tenet ability 1/battle, which grants +50 momentum, and cures all negative effects and gives +(wearer's persuation/7) temp wounds and armor% and +(wearer's persuation/20) deflection to allies in 5-cell radius

From what I gather you can't get the black one due to bugs. The flags are broken. You need to get InquisitirMercyCounter to 2 to get the ring. But you start at 0 and dialogue options only lower it. Staying at 0 gives you the white one, anything at -2 or lower is white as well.

Only -1 currently gives me scarlet ring, and that's probably a bug too since it seems to depend on how you get to the -1.

The only thing that effects the mercy counter are your dialogue choices with XC. If you have ToyBox installed you can use it to see what dialogue choices will give a -1 to the counter.

Would love to know which conversation choices led to the black.
