But I will agree, it is funny that they have the one that could destroy a house by not marrying another of their kind, be romancable and a sister who CAN chose who to romance without consequence(altho incredibly rare due to how busy they are) is not romanceable.
Even for someone like me who doesnt give a ♥♥♥♥ about romance, I find it kinda funny and odd. But I guess as a writer if you have 40k lore knowledge its more interesting to see if a navigator romance blows up in your face, I guess?
The did when they were first introduced but there were in lore Imperium reforms and they have been just sisters with no restrictions for quite a while now, technically. But practically it is all but impossible for a sister due to the nature of their work which is why it is rare and since they are more extreme than even the Astartes when it comes to devotion for the Emperor, so it is about as rare as Astartes shacking up(happens, but not much).
Idira gets plenty of love by the daemons she keeps popping into reality. Or the air lock she's going to be introduced too. ;)
Airlock? That is very humane of you, should give her right over to the inquisition, there she gets the attention she deserves
Once upon a time there was a bunch of Battle Nuns who wholly dedicated themselves to the Emperor of Man and only to serve the Emperor of Man. They called themselves the Daughters of the Emperor. This changed when a bunch Space Marine chapters came to Terra because the Pope of the Church was actually a corrupt A-hole, and after a lot of fighting between the Church led by the Daughters and the Space Marine Chapters, the caretakers of the body of the Emperor decided that enough was enough and led the leader of the Brides aside and had a talk with the Emperor's corpse.
Needless to say the Brides were furious when Big E told them that Goge Vandire is a liar. and proceeded to execute him.
Long story short the Daughters of the Emperor now became the Adepta Sororitas/ Sisters of Battle. and maintained their vows of celibacy to better execute the Emperor's divine mandates.
Now get off my lap before I hit you with this font 60 size, adamantium cover edition of the Codex Astartes.
No Vows of Celibacy though, that is fanfiction.
