No they are not, Van Dayne rumor remains open for me though even after clearing the associated room

The room across the lowered bridge has been cleared. Also for the folks arguing about the Confidential Information quest I'm not talking about that cache. I completed that one. I waited until I could decrypt both of those caches and it worked fine.

People are confusing the "Other Quests", "Classified Information Quest" and the Rumor, "Cache of Kiava Gamma".

For the rumour, go to the north east:

There's a cogitator that lowers a bridge. You can NOT access this cogitator without the Rumor, because you need the dead capitain's access codes.

This lowers a bridge with a room full of loot. Rumour seems to be bugged as it won't clear.

For those talking about the room on the far east of the map near the Chaos Marine, that's the "Classified Information Quest" you get from the bridge. The rumour is from a derilect ship you discover while wandering in space.

Found the cache. Didn't end the rumor.

ditto. i can confirm, cache is top right, loot in it, but clearing it doesn't close/resolve/remove rumor for journal.

I think I did the same. I went to where the last guy here mentioned, and remembered I did indeed lower a bridge and clear a room out that was full of loot way, way earlier.

Where do you start this rumor? I found the area and was really confused by it, but now that I know it is part of a rumor quest I have no idea how or where to start it lol

ok guys i can definitively answer this for you. When you turn the platform and cross it go left (north on the map) here you will find a small trap and then a seemingly useless "loading platform" when you inspect it. To the right (east) are 2 computers, if you have the rumor one of those will now be usable and you enter a code, this brings over a bridge and lets you into the room. The rumor doesnt seem to clear though for me either.

I spent like 10 posts trying to walk through people on the playtest forum where to find the cache.
