Controllers left joystick stops registering when pushed directly up or down, i have seen this in multiple instances with multiple people. dafuq?

I know with other games, there are sometimes issues with steam and controllers. Check the settings in steam for the game and turn off whatever steam calls its controller control.

you want to find "disable steam input". It's in the properties for the game.

bummer, did you figure it out. I've been playing with my xbox controller and it's been ok so far.

I had an issue where I cannot rotate the camera, the fix was to reboot game , don't use controller, using keyboard settings , set everything to default.
Then reboot the game again and use controller this time, I hope this fixes the issue.

Now i know its the game, I switched my d-pad to operate as the left joystick and pressing up on the d-pad still yields no results, i hate modern gaming
