Very Disappointing Ch 3 Twist

Stuck with a pistol and pair of boots. Set on by 3 full-health space elves. Died in 3 hits.

Who thinks this dumb trope is a good idea anymore? Ch 3 death just ruined the game for me. While I had much fun with the Pathfinder line, this over-used trope of "take all their gear away and then kill them" is just too stupid to endure. I thought better of Owlcat, but I was wrong.

Doubtful I'll buy any more of their games. Most devs love to "double-down" when facing criticism. I'm sure Owlcat will put TWO screw-you tropes in their next game.
Owlcat went from "must buy" to "never buy again" in 3 hits of Ch 3.

Tip for anyone having problem there: you can grab stuff out of your cargo and just equip that.

Chapter 3 is the best. Owlcat did really a good job on the Dark City as a whole. My favourite part is that negative effects on the companions are permanent.

For the three edgy space elves in question: I'm pretty sure you're not even supposed to engage them - game goes out of its way to point out they're dangerous and a path around them.

Yeah, I hate that moment too. We already lost in the prologue in a cutscene; don't make us lose yet again.

It let me do it when looting containers, only found out about it once i found Alberard though so maybe you need to get past Malice?
