Bugged Arena portal in Act 3?

I'm stuck in Act 3 just wandering around looking for something to do. I can see the big Arena portal and it seems like where I'm supposed to go but it doesn't work. When I click to use it... it just doesn't let me go through.

I've found Malice and helped him, met the Commissar and found Abelard and Argenta... and then... nothing else I can find seems to do anything other than a bunch of nearly impossible skill checks that only seem to give some loot and the guy guarding the other exit won't let me take that either.

Yeah the arena portal doesn't work for me either.

I can't find Pasqual and the 'bodyguard' anywhere.

Have you done Malice's second quest?

Figured it out... You need to go back to Malice... But you have to go all the way in not just enter briefly.

But it's really not explained well and having the arena portal be clickable but not actually do anything really feels like a bug.

I killed both defacto 'leaders' and I can't enter. I'm assuming I have to go all the way back to when I just got out of the first arena fight?

Man, I love this game but they need to get their ♥♥♥♥ together and get rid of some of these bugs. It's insane how many there are.

You need to actually have a quest that says "Win an arena fight" for the portal to work. In your situation, you get that after speaking to the Bloodstained whatevers in the Anatomical Opera.

This is super easy to miss because those guys are on a SEPARATE platform that you cannot reach, and it just looks like they're just part of the background. That's poor design for me.

I never said it is not dumb design. But it's not really bugged so he can continue his game.

Im so confussed atm and stuck where all you guys are stuck at. Do i need to kill Malice for something to pop up?

Could you please tell me where you found Malice ? In the pit, i have only found someone called "Demon". Thank you

In my case actually skipping the scene helped - otherwise I had Cassie (not on my current team) blocking the whole encounter.

The people to talk to are in the far back behind the hamonculous or however in the fk you spell it. It infuriates me that it took me 2 days to figure it out and I'm not happy.

Ditto. totally effin crazy how missable that is - especially when playing with a controller and you get used to the camera hugging RT

Part of the problem is you interact with the portal, nothing happens and its not "ah i mustve missed something" its "ah another bug". so you dont know where to start.
