Respec cost`
So does respec cost start climbing linearly after some time, and just never stop? Its 0 for a couple times, then 1, then immediately 2, etc. How screwed am I if I got to that point early in chapter 2? I respec a lot because there's so much to learn in this game its not even funny, I screwed up most of my characters like twice.

3 free ones, then 1 2 3 4...im not sure if it goes higher.

Also yes, youre first builds are gonna be bad, this is quite normal to just absolutely restart the game.

You can use toybox mod to fix the pf loss.

Get toybox and respec as much as you want. When you learn the game and more importantly which skills actually work at the moment and which don't you can play legit on the second playthrough. Paying profit factor because something is bugged is not fun.

All that said, PF is fairly easy to get. It's possible to have well over 150 PF by late game and very few items require more than 40-50 to access.

So you have plenty of breathing room. Spending some early on respecs will do nothing more than slow down your access to certain pieces of gear, none of which is 'necessary.'

I mean, don't go bananas or you will hurt yourself in the short and long term on Profit, but as long as you keep yourself limited to a max of a few respecs per character for the whole game, you'll never even feel the loss of PF.

Can I add it to an existing game?

Eh, I'm too invested in my character now, I just don't wanna gimp myself on gear for no good reason

Yeah, check the workshop or nexus mods. It's very easy.
