Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader

Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader

İstatistiklere Bak:
Bolters are pathetically weak
For a very iconic WH40K weapon, they ended up being entirely useless for a good half of the game: early bolters are strictly worse than early lasguns in very much all the cases.

Only way later you start finding bolters that aren't just +2-3 damage from lasguns with far worse handling; and only by level 30+ your characters will be powerful enough to disregard most of the hanlding issues.

...but by that time you can just grab Eldar/Drukhari weapons and it's all over for bolters once again.

They get a lot better later on trust me, Argenta with a heavy bolter can dump out 300 damage per round with one.

rookie numbers.

Get heinrix, throw hammer of the emperor on it. keep stacking verstaility and get talent increasing hit damage and heroic act upgrade increasing crit chance. You will start seeing inidividual shots doing 150-300 around 16 versatility(which is 8 with reckless rush).

Best thing with heinrix, hammer of the emperor buffs entire party.

Only thing more broken is master tactician cassia with 80+ stacks doing 300+ dmg lidless stare.

I just want to know why bolters are found in the trash, is Owlcat trying to send us a message?

To be fair, name a type of gun in this game that you can't find if you just dig through the right dumpster.
Bolters are decent, I prefer snipers to normal bolters (specifically, Longlas early on)...
But once you get a heavy bolter, rapid fire heavy bolter build is the way to go.

You can make an effective Argenta heavy bolter build that blows other guns out of the water by Early act 2 once you get the recoil gloves on Janus.

I haven't really used bolters in my playthrough since I didn't build anyone for burst fire. From chapter 2 onward you find fairly powerful longlas type guns frequently enough that you find a new one around the time the one you're using is starting to fall out. Bolters strangely enough don't have nearly as many variants. Also later on many enemies start having tons of dodge on them and las type weapons help a lot with that.
As general observation of mine

You should choose operative if you want to use
1)single shot weapons which arent cone
2)Telepathy

You should choose soldier if you want to use
1)Cone area weapons
2)Burst
3)Pyromancy

Warrior
1)Biomancy
2)Melee

Officer
1)Sanctic
2)Diviner
i decided to try her with bolter compared to longlas the main issue is reloading. I would usually one shot most enemies on daring with her and it was easy to get 2-4 shots out per round using abilities to give extra shots, not counting that i'm a officer. usually i wouldn't have to reload til end of combat, but now i need to reload almost once per round and the DPS doesn't appear to be higher.

this is act 2, she is also an arch militant

Normal bolters are really bad at reloading, unelss your bolter is that much better you should find hotshot lasgun.

When you get heavy botler you will have enough ammo in can to last you entire fight.

Heavy Bolter build is key, as well as the quick reload passive.

Before I acquired my heavy bolter, I had better luck with a Longlas Sniper build on my argenta

You're not getting Space Marine weaponry at the start of the game. Kind of standard rpg playing honestly, weird people don't understand that.
its the recoil, reduce it to 0, you can get item that reduce recoil

People dont understand because in tabletop rpg its based on you indeed can get bolter from the start or power armor or lascannon even.

You are also a rogue trader you should be able to afford personal weaponry.
I dunno once I got Master Tactician for Argenta and the stacking damage buff she got kind of broken >.>

In long protracted fights she started doing like... 70-100 damage per bullet with her burst

Which is like 14 shots if you buff her rate of fire, she would routinely kill 6+ enemies in one salvo on her turn and then I just use Cassia to give her another turn and the game is easy mode xD

It's a bit hard until she spins up, but she gets really really nuts with some of those stacking "for the rest of combat" buffs
I must say that bolter in Argentas hands is weak. Ulfar with bolter rocks.
