Quarantine Zone on Footfall

How do you get in to poke around? Asked the Liege, but the guards still give me the line about clearing mines and won't open the gate/let me in. Found a lift on the level above, but it's activated from the bottom.

Are you supposed to go to Janus or one of the other planets and then deal with this when you get back or am I missing something?

you have to wait for the guards to finish purging the sector of the majority of the population by doing other things and once you come back it open for you to explore

I believe so, though when I approached the Liege about it, I just asked him to let medical supplies from my ship be sent over, and was told to check in on it later (and Googling suggested that some people were able to enter after they completed one of the Act II planets)

Have a similar issue. I think I've selected something in regards to "Let fire purge them, I'll wait" and now quarantine is just locked for me. Already did Janus and Gamma, still locked. Liege has no dialogue option and guard just sends me to him if I want to enter. Stuck I guess?

I think if you don't insist on going in you just can't. What I did was ask the guard in front of the gate, then talk to the liege and insist on going in immediately. After that you talk to the guard again and he tells you they're clearing the mines so you can enter. Pop over to one of the other systems (You don't need to finish Janus or Gamma) and fly back, then it's open.

I have, since my initial comment, been there.

Same as detailed - talk to quarantine guy and ask to go in, get told to go to hell, talk to the Liege, ask to at least be allowed to send in medicine, flew off to wreck Janus, came back, the place was open for visitors.

Without spoiling too much for people who haven't been, did you get any sort of resolution to the quest? I found the little sewer hideout area, finished the fight, etc, but there's no additional dialogue with the liege afterwards and I still don't know conclusively what was causing the plague. Feels like I missed something.

I figured out the mutant was the cause and told both the guard and the liege

Exhuasted all dialogues with governor and a guard, I'm about to go into act 3 and still can't access quarantine zone.

One of this dialogs cancel the quest, so if you klicked on everything without reading ...

You can ask to enter the quarantine zone (which he'll deny), and that will open up a coercion check to demand to do so. You pass the check... then to get in you gotta wait for them to clear it.
