Can you play as Sister of Battle?
There is clergy origin and soldier class so wondering if you can play as Adepta Sororitas and other characters refers to your past like that or its just random priest stuff.

Please dont spam lore reasons as to why it wouldnt work when we have Argenta on ship and as being Lord Captain, give you special responsibility that would make it work anyway.

A SoB can become a Rogue Trader, she will no longer be a SoB afterwards, however.
The game does not let you play that origin.

You can't create one yourself, but one does join your party.

No, you cannot. Also Argenta IS NOT the Rogue Trader, the Lord Captain is.

"we have Argenta on ship and as being Lord Captain" = translates to Argenta being and ship and we as Lord Captain.

Yeah, its all nice and good till you put Argenta in ship and she magically doesnt purify it with zealot precision but instead working with people. She may have reasons for it but thats it.
Now imagine that Sister is being picked as Rogue Trader heir and she gets responsibility to Dynasty that are:

"The bearers of a sacred Warrant of Trade that empowers them to journey beyond the boundaries of the Imperium to trade, explore, and make war in the God-Emperor's name" can be interpreted as Saint Task given by Emperor himself to spread Faith to unknown regions of space. It doesnt contradict to what Sisters of Battle usually do.

This is why i wrote, dont write lore reasons why it wouldnt work because it can work.

Only the Lord Captain is the Rogue Trader, everyone belse is his retinue of auxiliaries.

What are you talking about? Why would she purge the crew?

It sounds like you just want people to agree with you and your desire to play as a Sister instead of actually discussing why it makes no sense. Or, even if it did, why it doesn't matter since it's not an option presented to us by the game.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

Okay, so it sounds like your post title was a bit misleading. It seems like you're not actually asking whether you can or not, you already know you can't, you just want to complain THAT you can't. That's fine and fair, a lot of origins and archetypes from the tabletop version weren't available and there's nothing wrong with wishing they'd been included, just mistook your goal here at first.

You can see the character creation options at character creation. Adepta Sororitas is not among the possible origins.

@Illudium

Wasnt too sure until first reply because of that clergy origin but yeah, wanted to know for sure + complain a little bit :D.

@Zsrai

I did replied that way because before other people was writing something akin to "If Adepta Sororitas would become Lord Captain, she would purge entire ship because of heresy going on there" and got tired of explaining how her duties to dynasty wouldnt allow it.

@Jonoliveira12

Got it, thank you for clarification.

Anyway, got answer for that so thank you.

Adepta Sororitas is military part of Clergy and Clergy is one of the origins. As someone who dont know much about 40k, it was bit confusing so wanted clarification on that.

You did make one logic flaw. Just because a RT has a certain character in his retinue, it does not mean that character type can be a RT themselves.
You can get 2 Eldars, a Techpriest and a Space Marine on your retinue, but none of them could ever become Rogue Traders themselves.

If you are not that picky, there are two hairstyles that look similar to what Sisters of Battle wear. So you could make a Militant Fanatical character, might not come with a Sisters of Battle background or the Power Armor they wear, but maybe there is Gear later that lets you get closer.
