Bottomless pit

Hi got to the bottomless pit? how do you subdue it to get the achievement?

not via regular dialogue it seems, tried out all the options including backing out before dialogue. Could be tied to a certain origin option, or conviction.

I think it's bugged. If you pass all of the awareness checks before examining the pit, you unlock new dialogue options. There are three checks in total, and each one unlocks a new dialogue option.

1) Talk to the monster
2) Sabotage the ritual
3) Sacrifice the darkness

Picking all three gives you a slightly different dialogue outcome, but you still get the standard Champion of the Pit buff, and no achievement. So I think it's just broken right now.

You need to pass tests on each of the following:
1 - examine the scribbles on the wall, the ones that look like someone tried to write over them
2 - you need to examine the short half wall in grass beside the shuttle, it tells you to talk to the dog
3 - examine the large wall, the one that says to reach out and touch the darkness

The loot chests, staff and book may not be needed.

AFTER you pass the 3 awareness tests listed above, touch the darkness and enter the event. When it starts, the darkness will fill you with fear. You will have choice to run, fight, or talk to it like a dog. Then you are being sacrificed, and you can choose to sabotage the writting. Then you have to choose someone to sacrifice, and you have a 7th option now, to select the Darkness.

I got it after passing all the awareness checks in the area, and then dominating the darkness, or something like that. Was just the one line of dialogue and then you get the nifty buff. Its alright, not as good as interrupting a heretic's prayers with the glories of the God-Emperor though.
