Officer Commissar or Commander? build help
So, i wanna my main character to be the talk guy. the know guy. the leader guy.
Give more turns, give more power etc. i wanna to be good at talking AND decent at shooting or melee if possible.
For now i think a hive homeworld with focus on fellowship (with later comradery removing the willpower malus).
So, now, witch should i choose between Commander or Commissar? Commissar "At all cost" seems more useful to me that the regimental tactics of the commander? but commissar seems prone to melee rather than shooting, and i fear that melee require a more costly stat points to be ok/effective, and i want my main to be, as i said, a talk guy.
Problem is that "at all cost" need my character to actually hit something. Is commissar ranged officer a good way to go? is better the commander officer ranged? can i dare a melee commissar officer?

I'm going the Ciaphas Cain route hive world Commissar into vanguard with focus on agility and fellowship. So ya melee all da way

Laser weapons are a bit easier to hit people with at range, while chain swords are a bit easier to hit people with in melee. So you can use those to help you a little if your skills are not that high.

I did a commissar officer, and I mostly used a chain sword and I did okay. Between chainsword and buffs they did fine. I mostly buffed people though and just slashed people who came in close. I didn't charge them into the front line.
