Parry cap
Hello.
Does parry have cap? I topped 80 parry with Duelling Mastery(+15%) and can not go past 95%. Equipping Chainsword(+10%) - nothing happens. And alternatively, equipping sword (90%), then taking DM - capped on 95%.
If there is a cap, what's the point of Defensive Stance, for example.

The point is that enemies can reduce your parry, so you want more than 95% most of the time to reach that 95% cap.

So it's just UI representation, right? In actual combat log there will be 20+WS+all these bonuses?

Yeah, but your actual chance to parry will never go above 95%, even if you have +150% it just means that the enemy can reduce your parry by 55% and you'd still be at the cap.

Got it. Thank you!

I think everything soft caps at 95% (it's a D100 system). Extra hit chance over to crit chance, extra dodge or parry chance counter dodge/parry reduction, etc.

Crit chance itself and melee attacks against ranged-weaponed enemies (or does it always hit?) can be 100%. Everything else seems to be as you say, yeah.

basically,

parry is parry chance against an enemy your own level, with similar Weapon Skill.

lot of bosses mostly will have more (sometimes way more), some skill/perk will lower your parry. so ... having too much isnt always lost.

You can over 100% or armor too.

if you get 200% armor even 50-75% armor pen wont do damage to you.

and for dodge its against dodge reduction, some weapon reduce your dodge when hitting you so going over 100% is not lost,
