Aurora STUPID FIGHT
On the verge of uninstalling. The fight at the end of the FIRST chapter is impossible. A space Marine who takes no damage, a sniper on the OTHER SIDE OF THE MAP who NEVER MISSES. To top that off, trash mobs the respawn. WTF... How did this game get through so much beta testing and have such an F'd up fight. I love 40k but this is BS an there is no reason to play with such BS.

It's not as hard as it seems. The adds are actually a benefit since they let you build momentum. You just chip the marine down and ignore the sniper until the end. I did it in one go on core with a very ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ built party, albeit with a couple characters downed.

Easy fight, won it first try even after Aurora killed 2 party members on turn one.

Try to change difficulty if u struggle.

Kill the sniper first, keep your melee on Aurora. Most of the damage comes from the gun and they cant shoot in melee range. Use your operative to expose weakness/break armor. Sometimes its more of a combat puzzle to see what order to do what.

I gave a longlas rifle to pasqal to shoot the sniper, got it first turn, then i just melee the marine to death. As long as he can't use his heavy bolter he isn't dangerous at all.

Another example of lazy design. Can't be bothered to make encounters challenging, so hey, let's add a timer. Hey, let's add respawning enemies. Hey, let's add an invincible enemy.

it is much much harder than any fight beforehand, the problem is the deployment area doesn't have much useful cover so if he burst fires with the heavy bolter which can easily kill multiple chars

the way i managed to do it was spread out as much as possible on deployment and hope he only fires a single shot attacks or melee, then you want to block him in melee as often as possible between 2 chars.

i did still have 2 chars downed on the successful attempt (one from the sniper and one from the marine) but that's not important as you can heal shortly afterwards

Yah I agree this fight is BS. I'm down 2 or more members before I can even do anything.
Guess I'll just keep reloading until I get lucky...

Well I can't say about lower difficulties but I would imagine those saying it was easy used the exploit. Leaving the sniper up on higher difficulties = 1 dead party member per round unless you get extremely lucky. I put up a post on this fight about all the bugs present from the chaos marines getting 4 turns plus his normal turn per round, etc. Most times I used a party if anyone took a pop shot at him he would immediately get his extra turn and either kill that party member or severely wound them and then they could complete their turn. Keep in mind he would still get his turn that round and there seemed to be no limit to how much he could do that per round. If you are experiencing some of these bugs go check out my other post it includes a way to beat it every time even solo on unfair. However, if your looking for a legit way to beat it, crank the difficulty down and pray to the rng gods.

i am playing on normal difficulty. the fight was definitely a challenge. i did beat it on my 3rd attempt though. i used abelard and tech priest in melee on the marine. kept putting exploits onto the marine every turn. used armor piercing to my advantage. and then used the battle sister burst fire on him a ton. my main character is an officer so i used him to give extra turns to battle sister and tech priest. and he has a mid BS w/ a sniper rifle, so i used him to snipe the sniper, i don't think he ever shot at the marine. also not a bad idea to spread the party out at the start so you don't lose 2 or more on the marine's first turn. and then i also baited the sniper with a sacrifice at the start too so i could try to get set up. probably had 2 or 3 people standing by the end of it but it is 100% doable. not a fight you will dominate, more like one that you're barely going to survive.

2 tips

1) There's a plasma gun in a loot container just before you get to the platform
2) There's a bolter in another loot container in the spaceport (though this may only be before the triumph). Better than Argenta's starting one

Give the plasma gun to Pasqual and spam the single target double damage shot type, using Cassia to give him extra turns. Give the bolter to Argenta (who you've hopefully given the ability to do 90% extra damage on a burst or area attack to) and use Run and Gun to hit Aurora with 2 bursts a turn. Make sure to use operative skills to debuff Aurora.

Use the Plasma Pistol, or all the other AP weapons you get in chapter 1.
Aurora is all armour, get through that shell.

I gave Pascal the dual weapon feat, as you can set him up either pistol or two handed ranged weapons and conveniently access both. It's pretty great, and with the plasma pistol for area attacks and the area attacks on his melee staff he can wade into a crowd and wreck everyone. Add in the operative skills to break armor and a feat to get extra MP and he's a wrecking ball.

That was a tough fight, and took a few tries, but as soon as you are done you go back to the ship so as long as 1 person survives the fight you're good.
I should have realized it ended the access to that system though, so rolled back to a previous savegame anyway to explore a bit more.

You're bad at the game.

Either get better or turn the difficulty down.

But they just immigrated from Baldur's Gate, where they dominated the universe.

They should be able to kick down Owlcat's door and beat the pants off every boss in the game.

Owlcat's bosses wear suspenders.

Hard to get their pants off.
A single minor daemon from Warhammer 40K would completely wreck the entirety of D&D. BG3 is very dumbed down, on an already easier setting.
40K, unless it is needlessly hardcore and brutal, is not really 40K.

i just bully him with 3 melee characters that my psykers keep buffing while my character takes out the fodder with a long las and grenades
