Try to change difficulty if u struggle.
the way i managed to do it was spread out as much as possible on deployment and hope he only fires a single shot attacks or melee, then you want to block him in melee as often as possible between 2 chars.
i did still have 2 chars downed on the successful attempt (one from the sniper and one from the marine) but that's not important as you can heal shortly afterwards
we're talking about a different fight, this one comes later
Guess I'll just keep reloading until I get lucky...
Well I can't say about lower difficulties but I would imagine those saying it was easy used the exploit. Leaving the sniper up on higher difficulties = 1 dead party member per round unless you get extremely lucky. I put up a post on this fight about all the bugs present from the chaos marines getting 4 turns plus his normal turn per round, etc. Most times I used a party if anyone took a pop shot at him he would immediately get his extra turn and either kill that party member or severely wound them and then they could complete their turn. Keep in mind he would still get his turn that round and there seemed to be no limit to how much he could do that per round. If you are experiencing some of these bugs go check out my other post it includes a way to beat it every time even solo on unfair. However, if your looking for a legit way to beat it, crank the difficulty down and pray to the rng gods.
1) There's a plasma gun in a loot container just before you get to the platform
2) There's a bolter in another loot container in the spaceport (though this may only be before the triumph). Better than Argenta's starting one
Give the plasma gun to Pasqual and spam the single target double damage shot type, using Cassia to give him extra turns. Give the bolter to Argenta (who you've hopefully given the ability to do 90% extra damage on a burst or area attack to) and use Run and Gun to hit Aurora with 2 bursts a turn. Make sure to use operative skills to debuff Aurora.
Aurora is all armour, get through that shell.
That was a tough fight, and took a few tries, but as soon as you are done you go back to the ship so as long as 1 person survives the fight you're good.
I should have realized it ended the access to that system though, so rolled back to a previous savegame anyway to explore a bit more.
40K, unless it is needlessly hardcore and brutal, is not really 40K.
