No visual ”leg armor”? Stuck with the default look for all the game?
Greetings!
As most folks know; we are assigned an outfit at character creation dependibg on our Rogue Trader’s bacground (Commisar, Psyker, Naval Officer etcetera).
We can do some basic adjustments such as choosing the color of the outfit.

Now; armor such as; ”Bodyglove” don’t show up (change appearance) because it’s supposedly worn under the outfit of the characters).
Whereas other types of ”chest armor” do indeed show up (a.k.a are visible) on the character’s torso when worn, right?

But from watching Youtube videos etc. (I own the game on PS5 coz gaming PC is ancient by now); I noticed the following:

Even when the player equips a visible armor in the chest slot in inventory, and even if the player also equips visible gloves and boots and a helmet; while all these together quite noticably change the appearance of the character; the ”leg” section of the armor (area between torso and err boots/shoes) stays the same.

Meaning basically; that you possibly can wear completely new clothes (visually) but you are stuck with your starting pants foreever?

Or can we actually get or ”cobble-together” full suits of armor that also cover /armor up the leg section of the suit/armor/ensamble?

No big deal but just really curious coz I don’t want re-start my character a hundred times like I did with previous Owlcat cames :D
Sorry for the long text and thanks for any possible insight!

Thanks for the reply! I just read on some thread here on steam forums that almost all (not all but yeah..) psyker abilities lack visual effects, as well (auch coz I just created a psyker character :D)

Anyone else knows if the player character is permanently stuck with his/her starting outfit ”leg section / umm.. starting pantaloons /pjamas” for the rest of the game?

Dayum! So we really stuck with our starting pants forever? Man I want to at least be able to wear a proper heavy armor set by the ”middle-game” (preferably a ”human” power armor!).
Now imagine finally getting a chestplate that kinda looks ”heavy-ish” (yay! Finally!) but in that full suit of heavy armor (torso armor, heavy gloves, boots and maybe a backpack) your legs are totally exposed, like that’s the one part of your body where you are still sporting your starting outfit (sfter all those levdls and hours).
Okay, imagine them spacemarines in their bulky armor, then remove the pants! :D Or a cool looking imperial soldier in a full set of advanced heavy ceramite combat suit whatchamacallit, except no pants (or starting pjamas instead of pants), that’d totally destroy the immersion, IMHO :D
It would be kinda funny though, and I recon it’d be easier to go to the toilet so there’s that ;)
But I’d still rather sport a pair of ceramic plated armored suit pants to go with the rest of my power armor instead of a pjamas/skirt.
