whats the point of the the tattoos?

It's just flair, that's all.

I least you can see the 25 different eyebrows or hide helmet to see your hair, you literally cant see tattoos after you have made the character

The fact that your character portrait in the game doesn't even look like the character you took time to customize, makes the character customization completely useless.
You take time to customize your character, then you pick the portrait that shows in the game. What is the point?
I have noticed this in the other games they make as well.
(Before you ask, yes, I own the game. I play this game on the PS5 since my laptop is a potato.)

on PC you can upload a custom picture, I was going to do one of me in a bathrobe wearing a hat or something dumb like that

I don't know what I would've done if I hadn't been able to see bushy eyebrows when I spend time managing my inventory :D

don't get me wrong they are both pointless but at least you can still see them if you zoom right in
