there is a relic you get later that let any single shot from a bolter have 100% hit chance (Blessed Bolter Casing)
it's early in act 2 cant remember where tho.
That being said if you use Cassia i think Argenta works waaaayyy better with Flamer+Melta
simply because of the passive argenta gets
"Flencing Faith"
gives you 2xWP bonus damage and 6xWP% armor pen against Daemon/psyker and 1xWP dmg + 3xWP% pen against xeno
and since Cassia gives basically a free 60 to will ... that means your flamer will do
30(base argenta will) + 60 (buff) = 3+6 = 9WP
so against Daemon/Psyker : +18 base damage and 48% penetration
against Xeno : 9 damage and 24% penetration
also lot of pretty decent items to use for flamer
boots that gives you immunity to it and add +3 stacks of burn when you hit while standing in fire. and a trinket increasing damage of burn by +2 (per individual stack)
and to be fair, AOE coverage of flamer is pretty dope,
you can play with 2handed flamer, or heavy flamer... or dual wield flamer/melta or flamer/melee.
it's pretty flexible. the bonus for using versatility gets pretty crazy too if you use that archetype later.
but i would generally agree that she went from carrying the game in beta to being one of the worst companions by far at least in Hard.
with that she has over 95% hit chance, which means the rest of the hit chance goes into crit chance. She is deleting stuff. Ill swap her to boltguns later when she has better ballistics.
But aside from that on her own her accuracy kinda not that great. But it's probably because I don't understand to how improve it
With her run-and-gun/revel-in-slaughter she gets more attack than the others. In extremis (I have two officers) she got lots of attacks in a round plus her ultimate: her own, RaG, bring it down adds another and lets her recover fatigue, second bring it down is again an attack plus RAG, followed by her ultimate. If she was buffed in round 1 by Idira and an officer her hit chance improves a lot. If voice if command is made persistent, she has a lot of bonuses throughout combat. Also, by buffing one character on round 1 I have a solid target for bring it down later.
I've had decent results with her bursts. But I highly recommend putting a sniper rifle in her other slot. She's exceptional at taking out single targets with one.
How is Cassia giving 60 WP for free?
Burst you need rapid burst and concentrated fire because each bullet gets a dodge chance. You can stick a burst laz gun which with concentrated fire and laz expert basically will never be dodged.
But the early game its low damage. I give everyone a sniper for when they are at range and you need a hit. Deadeye weapon talent will make anyone hit a normal enemy basically.
For the most part I gave her a shotty Sister Shotgun. It dont miss and is exactly like burst but up close. You can get the point blank talent which helps the shotgun with armor and deflection and I feel the talent is good with any weapon cause its a 3 square range.
And if you are bursting chances are you have at least 2-3 enemies who are within that distance.
I dont like the equipment. For a rogue trader we should get all tier 1 equipment by default. Let us pick the loadout we want. There is just crap equipment in Act 1.
I only got 1 piece of heavy armor. Everyone is like Abe is a tank but he cant even get equipment to be a tank in act 1.
I wish I were already so advanced in the game LOL. Between advancement choke points and investigating this "mystery" I must have lost already 4-5 hours of gameplay.
Reveal the Light gives 4xWP Bonus to Ally WP and Toughness. NAv talent
