It's the same Unity turn based, target based plugin/system several other games have used.
Solasta, Mordheim, Necromunda, Pathfinder, all these games made in Unity suffer the same problem.
If it's not Line of Sight, it's "There is no path to move there" crap causing you to lose turns and get characters killed.
It's like their lead programmer refuses to write their own target detection system and continues to use the raycast/location scan system that's outdated and buggy.
Yeah, that problem is more severe one IMO.
