The biomancer psycher is a healer. One companion has that specialization

Ok psyker biomancer for heals and buffs. I combined it with forge world and warrior for a paladin archetypes but you could lean into the psyker powers more and work up a cleric archetype.

Yeah biomancy is healing here. Which kind of sad because biomancy is a lot more than just heal and buffs. We're missing the blood manipulation powers and the more destructive ones like bio-lightning (there is the lightning from the staff but that's not the same thing).

I took Biomancy thinking I would make a blood witch, but that's not there...

The Sanctic Psyker has an optional ability that will heal all party-members at once with each use at any range. It will heal an amount of wounds that can range from a moderate amount if you don't prioritize resolve at all, to healing all their wounds every time if you make sure your party is built to heighten resolve every turn. With a Sanctic you always have the ability to heighten everyones resolve (1 AP) every turn. You can use this heal once every turn but I don't know the AP cost. Also it requires you to have affected your party with another ability once previously during combat (which you would probably do turn 1 anyway with a Sanctic build). Narrativly this is saintly healing by being bathed in the light of the God Emperor.

The Biomancer has an optional regeneration ability that affects one ally at range until end of combat with every use. and cures them of a number of status ailments at the same time. When your psy-rating and willpower is at normal start values the healing is very light. When your psyker stats are very high this yields moderate healing every turn. You can affect one ally every turn, but I don't know the AP cost nor the range of it (So it would take 6 turns to get Regeneration going on all party members at once). Narrativly this is witchcraft healing.

Note, this info is based on the presentation of the rules ingame. I haven't tried any of them so I don't know if any of them are bugged or have accurate descriptions.

The bio power heals for your stat bonus (= 10% of the stat) per use, so it is like 4 points per round at first. You can use it in addition with other stuff, so it is always there, but it is not what I call solid healing when you get hit for 20 damage by a sniper.
I think solid armor and strong offense are the way to go.

Biomancers are better seen as damage-mitigation, since early on their healing is VERY weak. It's not until you get high PSY rating / +psy items that their 2 healing powers become respectable. A dedicated medic with medkits is your best solution early on. My soldier with focus in medicae (field medic talent, combat medic) can bring companions that are near death back to full HP with medkits. Downside is I have to run around a fair bit to do so, but it works well. Biomancer is good for reducing the likelihood I need to use a medkit (regeneration power is a light hp trickle each round, but it adds up and reduces the chances they will need medicae treatment from my soldier).

This. Just to add since I am playing Sanctic atm:

The neat thing about Sanctic healing with Light of the Emperor, is that Word of the Emperor having such a large AoE and being a ranged ground targeting ability (instead of a cast on self like I thought it would be), can easily buff EVERY ALLY on a map with at least 1 stack of Word of the Emperor. Allowing Light, Hammer and Shield to effect everyone every use.

And I mean everyone who is an ally. Your Party Members and the rubbish allies you get sometimes in support. In combination with lots of resolve stacking and godly (emperor godly I guess lol) Psy Rating due to Psalms Psy Rating buffing. Those garbage allies can actually be useful and hard(er) to kill.

It's kind of nice turning crappy allied toons into heroic act spammers and being able to heal them, and buff them with Light/Hammer/Shield easily. I might even pick up Shield of the Emperor even though I didn't plan to. Party Members and allies rocking like +4ish Deflection and +50ish Armour just from Shield of the Emperor due to 8ish Psy Rating? Yes please!!

either
-Biomancer, you get both a small heal and a Regen buff later
- Sanctic : you get Word of the emperor, and then you get deviation + heal everyone affected by it. and most of those scale off Resolve stat.

if i had to pick, Sanctic if FAR superior to biomancer, the heal scales reallyhigh and always heal everyone affected by the perma buff, buff that you can use every turn to boost Resolve and boost your one hit power/heal/defense/momentum generation to use ultimate.

Biomancer is fairly weak in comparison.

You all forgot to say that the 1st skill Doesn't Scale with anything .. so its just a FLAT 7 + Debuff :( is there any way to upgrade it ?
