Report a translation problem
The Toybox might be able to help with that, download the latest file on github, make a folder named 0Toybox0 in unitymodmanager (under LocalLow> owlcat games > Warhammer 40k Rogue Trader) unzip the file in there and press ctrl f10 go to party and its under "stats".
You can literally give them whatever portrait you want or just choose from custom portraits you might have.
toybox doesnt remove the hired mercenary debuff so -1profit
And as for the portrait situation, it should be possible to change a character's portrait and appearance in the game, ideally just whenever but if not then at least during a respec.
These are fairly basic quality-of-life features. I get that maybe time constraints made it impossible to include them at launch, but they shouldn't be that hard to add and hopefully will see inclusion in a patch asap.
Even then you can only reset talents 3 times before you start losing pf.
If somebody made mistake early only choice is to start from beginning.
