Heavy Bolter?

I don't want to post spoilers or anything. I got this from a fight and it requires me to be a heretic to use it. Please tell me that's just that particular bolter and not all of them. I don't want to be a heretic. Yet.

It is just that special weapon. I am pretty sure everyone can use every type of gear/weapon, there are just special versions of weapons that might be tired to it. If you fight a bunch of cultist your might find a lot of heretic stuff but you should be able to find normal versions too.

There's a vendor that sells a non heretic one.

The sister of combat starts the game with a heavy bolter and she is not a heretic. Some gear just so happens to require you to be of a specific alignment.

She starts the game with a regular bolter, and a degraded one at that.

Heavy bolters are the big brother so to speak, and they put a lot of rounds down range in comparison.

think you need 60 str and the bolter skill and/or heavy weapons skill to use a normal heavy bolter, i got one from a boss fight. Just need to get Argenta into the gym so she can use it lol

I have em, it just says I need to be heretic. Anyway, hope I find one cause I wanna remake my character from Inquisitor Martyr, or get as close as possible to it.

Oh I'm well aware. Ulfar pretty much trivializes the game regardless of difficulty. Helps that Arch Militant is hilariously overpowered.

I find the occasional piece of gear that requires dogmatic/heretic/etc., but there are non-aligned versions around. Regarding the bolter, I got a heavy one for Argenta somewhere, so they exist (might have gotten it by trading).

About the heavy bolter. . .

Yes you can find a non-heretic variant later. I wonder if you can find any unique heavy bolters though.

Here's the thing. The Heavy Bolter has burst fire of 8 bullets.

If you get the 30% rate of fire improvement on Marksman ult, it becomes 10.

There is a necklace in the game you can find that makes bolter single shots never miss.

That means when you activate your marksman ult with a heavy bolter you can shoot someone 10 times with 100% hit chance.

I wonder how scaleable this is into lategame.

which vendor sells the heavy bolter? i've only discovered 2 in act 1 and know they are in this act but and getting close to ending it. don't want to leave without it

Early in act 2 - Hieronymous Doloroso / the Drusians do sell one (follow Argentas request to meet up with him)
