restarted three times thinking i missed something in the tutorials yet still have 3AP and can’t shoot a NPC when i’m standing right in front of them. just keep pushing buttons until
i give up and end turn so i can stab them with some other companion wasting AP.
In their last game I did have to disable Steam Input in order for it to be recognized properly when they first launched the feature.
I'm not him but experiencing similar issues.
The gamepad works fine EXCEPT if i wanna move my character directly up, or directly down with the joystick, the game does not let me. I can move in any other direction, but as soon as I move the left joystick to either 0° (up) or 180° (down), my character comes to a complete halt.
I'm certain the issue is not my gamepad as I loaded up like 4 other games to test, and confirmed I'm only experiencing this issue with Rogue Trader. Really unfortunate since I've been looking forward to this game for such a long time.
If the issue was wonky animations, or a minor gameplay bug, I wouldn't mind, but this bug makes it near unplayable. Freedom of movement should be #1 in any video game.
As far as the exact model of my gamepad, I do not know as it's my brother's, but I know I have never experienced this with any other game on this gamepad.
download and run VIGEmBUS:
https://github.com/nefarius/ViGEmBus/releases/tag/v1.22.0
download and run VDXtool:
https://downloads.vigem.org/other/paraly/VDX_v1.14.3.0_x64_x86_GPDWinEdition.zip
run the program, and connect as a Dual Shock 4.
If you press connect after already running the game, your controller prompts will remain xbox type.
you will need to connect the controller through VDX anytime you reboot your system. So this is just a temp fix to get you playing until the issue gets a proper fix
Easy SMX generic controller. Listed as "ESM Controller 1.05" in my devices. It works fine with all my other games on steam.
I also tried my "ASTARRY Wireless Controller Compatible with Xbox 360" and have the same issues.
I also would point out a windows update that happened a week or two ago that really messed up some controller related stuff. I dunno if that will help you but gluck
Now I can walk, but the camera don't rotate with joystick xDDD
The game put sometimes put all controls to 0. LOL a lot of bugs xD
