Constant crashing?
Hey there i keep having constant crashing every few minutes
I have no mods
updated to lated driver

I am using a custom portrait

Runs almost fine here, playing vanilla too.
Had one reproducable ctd in the first fight when clicking ok in the tooltip.
Just closing it via x/escape solved that.
1 random ctd some time later and right now at the end of the transition of the rogue trader announcement.
Tried to lower graphics. nope.
I am waiting for steam file check, maybe that helps.

Edit: 1 file downloaded, still crashes at the end of that scene

I mean it is Owlcat, first couple month is expected to be buggy as F.

I can't even finish that fight cause it just keeps crashing mid boss fight.

Yeah no. Sure you can expect bugs in a big and complex game like this. but the first acts were in beta and they should know unity by now. WotRs release was already much smoother than PKs. (Yes, yes, both still got bugs...)
But I still did not have a ctds with their first two games.:steamsad:
What annoys me most is the unknown error which leads to a ctd.

Also having this issue. Event Viewer says it's event 1000, which I've tried solving several times before to no effect for a few other games. Trying solutions for it but not having much hope they'll work off past experiences.

same for me tried several solutions but nothing works, wait for a patch, as it stands game is unplayable in this state.

Yeah, just tried everything that's supposed to fix event 1000 and it still crashes giving me that. Every time a game does this it never works.

Still nothing new on my end.
I made a new Char and could play the whole prologue without any issues this time and it just crashes again right at the transition after I am being calld rogue trader on the bridge.
Gamelog shows just the usual when ending a dialog:

Tried again, submitted a bug report right at the end of the Dialog and guess what,
the game suddenly and unexpectedly continues and finally loads the next cutscene.
I absolutely do not know what caused this change, but iI take it.

Have this crash at the starter loading screen but I verify game file and gets an update and that fixes it.

Hold up, I've been looking for someone with this issue. Do you mean Abelard named you Rogue Trader and then the game freezes when you hit end dialogue? Did you submit the bug report before you pressed End Dialogue then?

Naw it was due to friggin' Special K (the previous crash).
I disable it and it runs fine now.

Check accessibility settings, I've seen people report a similar issue when the text size was set to 0.

Special K is basically an enhancement app for gaming, it adds a bunch more features including skipping anti-cheat.

Works for some games (Elden Ring and Armored Core 6), not for this game, yet.
