what the hell did you expect ... Xeno get purged in that empire.
It's like Asking why a black dude is not the president of a country that would be run by KKK members.
Rouge trader the role playing game, does not exclude other races, the same as the LORE does not exclude. There are Orks in LORE and the GAME, so why no Ork? Rouge traders ain't soldiers of Imperium of men, they are privateers who do what the ♥♥♥♥ they want to get rich.
And yes, the captain is most likely a human, cause they are the most open to accept different races for thier own greed.

human only sadly wish I can play as aeldari :D lol
I don't think you understand, a Rogue Trader is part of and works for the Imperium and the Emperor and are still Imperial citizens as any other human in the Imperium. They aren't just some random outlaws and pirates, but they do have a lot of authority and freedom. The Rogue Trader has to be human. The Imperium isn't going to give such a position of power to an alien when aliens are rarely even tolerated to live to begin with.
Their crew can have some non-humans.
If you want a non-human main character in the 40k setting, your options are limited. Especially if you want to play a character with any sort of authority.
end of discussion.
the warrant allows for a Rogue Trader, to deal/trade/hire Xenos but that doesn't make that Xeno a Rogue Trader, but rather a member of the Rogue Trader's Retinue.
I own the the books. It's very clear in the rules that a rogue is human exclusively. And I don't just mean imperium faction, I mean exclusively Human, so it can't be a mutant or a space marine or an ahbuman, the only exception being a psyker. And of course, he has to be aligned with the imperium, chaos cultists would be killed by the inquisition.
Xenos are out of the question, they aren't even in the same chapter as the human careers, all xenos chars are very specific ojn what career they can use. Orks are either freebooters or wierdboyz, that's it, there is no ork rogue trader.
I think you can make a voidborn Rogue Trader which is technically an abhuman I believe, to be nitpicky.
The lore doesn't discriminate as much as the tabletop RPG's game mechanics I think, allowing the possibility of abhuman/mutant Rogue Traders to some degree, especially since warrents of trade can be inherited. Theres at least one in the lore, you just don't really see or hear about them, tho I doubt you'd ever see something like an ogryn as one, but not impossible.
As long as they're human enough and aren't praying to chaos.
In the context of 40k voidborn just means born on a ship in the void of space. Doesn't necessarily mean your a mutant or abhuman.
Let people have fun and take your weird hyper aggressive whining else where to go kick rocks.
As for OP's question, give it a bit. I bet there are already people modding in other races.
I assume this is bait or mental illness idk which.
I wouldn't say no to a raccoon trader... https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3111998745
