Power Armor for the Rogue trader?
Greetings!
Just purchased the game on PS5 (gaming PC very long in the tooth) and as the title suggests; even though the game is very new; I wonder if we can eventually outfit our Rogue Trader (main character) with Power Armor in this game? By power armor; I don’t necesarily mean ”Astartes power armor” but rather ”Human” power armor as the ones requisitioned by the Inqusitors and so on?

PS! I googled this a few days ago before purchasing the game but found some conflicting information on Reddit where a redditor says that one dev (?) daid that there wonn’t be any power armors for the main character, whereas a person with the same and/or similar dev name drops in, apologises and explains that there indeed are power armors that the players can outfit their Rogue Trader (protagonist/main character) in.

So, I wonder if there is any truth to that claim?
I need to wear power armor, wield a chainsword and cast chainlightning spells while also being the captain of my own spaceahip (that I can use for naval space-combat) and crew while obliterating monstrosities straight out Sweet Home that I can go on and have the ultime uber nerdgasm, hance the reason for the question and topic of this thread.
Thank you kindly for your patience and candor.

Awesome! Thanks for the reply! I was just a little bit sad that I found a webpage showing some light, medium and heavy armor sets (prolly page not compete since the game has just been released) and there appeared to be no ”power armor” listed among the heavy armor types except the sororitas and astartes power armor (prolly for each one of the particular companions as such). Glad to hear that we can wear power armor eventually though.
Biomancer (whatchamacallit) melee psyker, here I come!

Hehe, yep! Planning on doing the same once I eventually nab a copy.

Makes sense, the PC can get Power Armor proficiency as a level up.

Nice. Fingers crossed we can get access halfway or a 2/3rds in so we get some serious hours with it. I always lamented not getting to play around with mythic rank 10 in WOTR, but I'm confident Owlcat learned so much from WOTR.

That Page Is fextralife they are not much update generically speaking bout the various games they have a Page of.
Yes, Power Armor Proficiency can be picked as a level up talent, and requires the same 45 strength as heavy armor proficiency.

Looking at the mod manager, the number of power armors that the rogue trader can wear amounts to...uh...one.

Its a nice looking armor, but i'm not sure its really worth all the stats and stuff you need to get it. Hoping they add a couple more down the line. (all the other power armor's are reserved for companions)

I think only the warrior class gets access to the power armor trait. A warrior will be far to busy bouncing from enemy to enemy or standing toe to toe with the biggest foe and smashing them with a power hammer to be using psychic abilities.

My officer Rogue Trader could also get it, as can Operative Pasqal, so no, it's not warrior-specific.

any of the human characters can get it far as I know it just has a requirement of 45 str

but my TR (officer), Pasquel (operative), Henrix (yes he's a warrior but also a psyker), Argenta (soldier), Cassia (navigator and officer), and Jidia (operative and psyker) all have it "available" it's just locked and can't be picked unless they have the 45 str.

Guys thanks to each and every single one of you for the replies, coz I really wouldn’t want to create a soldier ans pour hours into that with the hopes of being fewarded with a power armor, only then to realize that it was all for naught coz the class I had chosen (soldier, for example) couldn’t use the Power Armor because of class restrictions. So, any feedback/insight is still very much welcome! :)

Does anyone know how many there are?

I know Argenta, and Ulf both can get a set, but I've personally only seen 1 besides those so far.

scratch the idea out of your head that you can play the game with power armor on. you might find one in the last few hours of the game but for the most part you run around withtout it. better invest in heavy armor instead.

How far down the line? It is not even on my officer list of skills on the level 22 upgrade.

It's available from the first talent point, and is down above the origin traits, just like Grenadier.

There's Argenta's and Ulf's set, then there's two sets from the Drussians at max rep starting in Chapter 4. One is only usable by Pasqal, the other is usable by anyone. (Pasqal's gives 80% armor and iirc 6 deflection? The other is 85% armor and 8 deflection iirc).

That makes a total of 4 that i've found so far.

What is the name of the Power Armour for Pasqal, please?

Dragon Scale Power Armor. Requires Part-Machine 1 (which only Pasqal has) as well as Power Armor Proficiency.

Has 5 armor deflection (which is buffed to 6 due to Part-Machine 1), .75 dodge penalty (same as medium armor) and 80% armor.

The set usable by anyone has 10 armor deflection, .75 dodge penalty and 85% armor.

Both sets also give +20 strength to the wearer, on top of a unique effect (Dragon Scale gives +2ap and +2mp once per round on a kill, Modified Artificer [the one usable by anyone] reduces heavy weapon AP cost by 1)
