Steam Deck performance? So excited for this!
Anyone play this on their Deck's during Beta? With cross platform release on launch, full controller support, and TB combat, this game looks tailor made for the Deck.

I fell deep into the insane and rich lore of 40K during the pandemic, consuming endless hours of YouTube lore videos and 50+ audiobooks across the Horus Heresy and various 40K era novels. I'm so excited to play a CRPG in this universe.

The Rogue Trader aspect feels like an all star-ish compilation of a lot of factions generally segregated from each other. I never played the table-top, so this should be a blast to get lost into.

I don't think this game has any controller support at all. At least the beta didn't have.

It's releasing on consoles tomorrow lmao. Anyway, a dev already said it features full controller support on reddit.

Mort says it ran seemingly well, so here's holding out hope.

I played most of the beta on deck and it was great even without controller support so I'm really excited for controller support and also to test decks new built in FSR settings. I had the game running at one resolution below 1280x720 and built in FSR on and had 50-60 fps pretty consistently.
WITH most graphics set on high and the mid lvl anti aliasing.

It's already there if ya have the latest official update. Push the three dot button and scroll all the way down.
Also, check your display settings for new color settings...it's fantastic

I don't suppose to have your settings? Even on medium I'm only getting around 30-40 fps

I upscaled a lower resolution with steam decks scaling mode and fsr filter

i think they definately need a good few optimization patches with 1.0...i had less issue with performance and graphics fidelity in beta
Sidonus Dec 8, 2023 @ 3:02pm
oh! also turn on manually setting your gpu clock. I have mine set to 1500.
Will Dec 8, 2023 @ 3:20pm
If you run it at 30fps and turn all graphics down to low with a TDP of 7 you get a nice fanless experience that should last about 3.5 - 4 hrs on one charge
