Man, I was about to post that vid too, thx :)
Maybe its my Eldar blood, that made me abit faster than you.
I know. Man, rogue traders are find but could you imagine a CRPG centered around the admech or Inquisition? With you moving up their ranks?
I would have even taken being a human or alien player in the Tau empire or something.
Only more boringly generic thing they could have picked would be yet another Space Marine game. I love space marines despite being an eldar fanboy, but I wish games would remember it's not all about them and that tons of other factions exist.
That's literally half the reason Mechanicus was such a great game even with all its flaws.
(darn game made me make 4 designs of techpriests I wanna make one day, a seer with a lot of eyes and servo skulls, a chronicler that has a shrimp head for more data, a low grade techpriest who's a hunter, and finally a medic who's whole body besides his head is robotic and wears long cloth to not freak the normie guardsman out, even has normal eyes and has a metal collar with screens to give updates and info due to no robo eyes
Just look at the interface. With candles, purity seals, the machined surfaces - it doesn't stand out glaringly, it's just 'there' and you don't notice it because it feels so natural for the setting. It's perfect.
There's UI details that are not very intuitive and such, but the graphical design is awesome.
And the sound work.. it really helps bring out how epic the setting is. Owlcat's really nailed the presentation of the game.
I'll keep on screaming it, Owlcat has some of the best artistis/graphic designers, voice actors, sound designers, and writers in the business.
It's their game designers and coders that constantly hold their games back from greatness that need to be fired.
Overall I wish it was more like that OST from Mechanicus, more omnius, with choirs like elements.
