Randomly generated gear isn't a thing other than random trash weapons/armour on random encountered enemies. All "good" loot is either specific drops, finds, rewards for quests/colony stuff or bought from faction merchants, all being static (like Kingmaker/Wotr).
I don't know if since beta there has been extra itemization features added like crafting or randomly generated stats on some random loot. I haven't heard or seen anything along those lines. So again I doubt it.
Like Wotr and less so Kingmaker, I found that most item visuals didn't "clash" with eachother, and this is before the added detail in feature complete streams. There are many ways to hide various armour pieces, and the base look of the characters are usually more cool anyways.
The one thing I don't ever understand with the hide visual features in CRPGs like this, is that there's always one or two slots missing the hide option. Like in BG3 with the same problem, you would think we would be able to hide/enable the visuals for every item slot in various combinations. But no. :p
True it really should.
Are you just say that for the sake of disagreeing? Even if it's in a game you don't have to use it, so why would you hate it? you can just completely ignore it.
Every RPG without it ends up feeling the same, but even worse are the RPG's that make you pay to transmogrify items.

" grr I HATE having choices GERRR the choice to NOT wear ugly things just for it stats GRRRR"
but fr though can you talk us through your thought process? I don't understand how someone dislike transmog like there's literally no downside for the players for it to be included
I can understand REHorror's feelings somewhat - when you have to use what you get, it brings a certain sense of finality and gravitas to your choices. It's similar to having a respec option available - sure, it's convenient, but it also nullifies the decisions you might've made in the past, even if those decisions were suboptimal or wrong.
That said, it's a single-player game, so more options are always welcome to those who want them.
Too much choices will no consequences make a dull game IMO.
I like how some item look unique, they might look ugly but that's one of their uniqueness.
Why are you getting offended on someone else's behalf?
Since the Devs haven't announced this, nor has it be seen in the live streams. It's wishful thinking to suggest we will get Transmog on launch.
