Besides that, all other races would just sooner kill us than talk to us.
You do realize the books are just to create whatever narrative the author wants? much like there always being as many elves/eldar as the plot demands to die?
You say no to chaos but we literally have a narrative path in the game dedicated to chaos with the herticus path, with which owlcat could let us either chaos corrupt our companions or get new companions . All of which they have let you do in their previous games like with the lich path is wrath of the righteous
Yeah give us a farsight or ethereal companion, that would be cool.
I hope the devs make a bunch of girls and have them all be secret Slaneesh cultists that corrupt you, i feel you would betray the God Emperor for a damn candy bar if some "cute" Tzeentch demon showed up.
Same thing is currently happening with BG3 - it's all romance, romance, romance...!
I mean bro, have you seen them Tzeentchian deamonettes?
I like big butts and I can not lie!
No other Nurgling can deny ~.~
Idk, all the companions id want wouldnt really fit.
Like, im trying to think how a Necron would ever lower itself to be in your service and just cant think of any real excuse.
Yeah a Necron would be a hard sell. I could see a quest with an insane Magos trying to control a warrior drone, ending terribly. Or a chain of quests with someone like Trazyn using you as a pawn of but I couldn't think of a scenario where you could have one as any sort of companion.
If you're interested in Necrons though I definitely recommend the Mechanicus game if you haven't already played it.
Ive sinned against the Omnissiah. It didnt play well on my old PC and forgot to download it now that I have my new one.
Thank you for reminding me! I got tombs to loot and canticles to chant.

I know it's an older reply, but this is not based on the 1st edition of 40K. This is based on the table top RPG of the same name, which came out around 2009/2010.
Not the first time GW has reused names for different products.
You also had Inquitor Sherlock Obi-Wan Clossau and a lot of other stupid ♥♥♥♥, like the half-ekdar ultramarine librarian.
Not a point in your favor. Early RT was unrefined and silly.
Orks are way too one-dimensional and violent to ever be a proper companion. They kinda work as mercenary armies, but there's no way they would behave in a retinue.
Jokaroo would work.
Tau... perhaps. But why would you want a Tau? They are weak and stupid.
Pretty sure that was Rogue Trader the wargame and first edition of WH40K and not Rogue Trader the TTRPG. I do love the goofy trivia from back then though.
