Overall it is a good sandbox game, it has improved so much since I first bought it. It has a lot of potential but rn It's a bit annoying that time seems to be pretty quick, would love to see a feature in which time includes days.

It would also be lovely to add more political aspects of the nation like political parties and rulers.

This game is a big disappointment for me and I don't understand why it has such a positive rating. The simulation in this game makes no sense and seems to me to be based completely on randomness.

Hey everyone!

Some of the maps in the game have remained the same since the initial release so it was about time they got updated! Before getting into those though, please check this next section!

New Experimental Performance Boost option 🚀

I'm always trying to improve the game's performance, but it is usually difficult to notice changes in it without many testers. So in this update I've added a new Experimental Setting, which can only be turned on in the Main Menu (as it effects map generation).

It would help very much if you guys could spend some time checking if enabling it has any noticeable effect on performance, especially on larger maps on high speeds. So turn it on, run a simulation for a bit while checking the FPS and any lag spikes, then turn if off and do it again. If you notice anything, post about it on the Steam forums or Discord! Thank you!

Map Remakes! 🌟

Five maps have been completely remade, many of them much larger and featuring terrain for the first time!

Scenario Editor Autosave 💾

You can now turn on autosave, which saves your progress every two minutes, just in case you forget!

Flag painter has also been improved. Keybinds have also been added to some buttons and will continue to be added.

Added an optional Autosave feature to Scenario editor, which saves your work every 2 minutes. You need to enable this after entering Scenario Editor
In Scenario Editor, Selected Terrain can now be changed by right clicking on any other terrain tile. The small square next to the brush which previously showed selected Terrain MASK, now displays the current Terrain to PAINT. If you select a terrain mask, it will now be displayed as another square partially behind the old one.
Added keybindings to map modes, from F1 to F6
Added ability to draw straight lines in Flag Painter by holding down 'Shift'
Added ability to draw circles in Flag Painter by holding down 'Alt'
Added control glyps to many tooltips and pause menu

Bugfixes & Improvements

Added a new Setting for a possible Performance Boost which can be enabled from MAIN MENU SETTINGS
Fixed a bug where you couldn't delete a newly create flag pack that hadn't been save once
Fixed a bug where you couldn't save or revert changes if you only changed an existing flag in pack

Main Menu Preset Diplomacy Settings have been divided to Alliances, Puppets and Wars
When painting terrain, any selected nations will be deselected, and selecting nations is no longer possible while painting terrain
Screenshot button has been changed from F1 to F11. As a reminder, this saves the map as it is currently shown, map mode included, into the game installation folder. F12 is the standard Steam screenshot key
Alliance Map Mode will now show puppets in full color instead of striped pattern
[[REDACTED]] now decreases the CE of the nation it is dropped on by 2 points, and takes out 10% of their gold
Fully updated Brazilian Portuguese translations
Discord Rich Presence now shows how many nations are there in your edited scenario
Fixed a bug where Rich Presence Setting was missing in the Itch version

What if there were Colonies

For example lets say Britain had the colony of Canada. Canada would give gold to the United kingdom, and also unlike a puppet instead of seizing land they should take 50-80% of the colonies gold. Depends on how important the colony is. if AOC does add this they can make a feature where they decide how important the colony this is the part where AOC decides what to do. Anyway this would be a cool update....

Suggestion - Land Purchasing

In times of poor economy or war, a country should be able to sell land for gold. For example, if Russia was losing a massive amount of money from a war, they should be able to sell kaliningrad to poland or germany. How this would work is; If a given country is red on the economy map, or almost out of money during a war, they could sell a territory centered around a city, like a revolt would be, in exchange for gold to a bordering nation. The selling country would gain an amount of gold equal to the amount ...
