can i be banned for using useful bots?

There is a mod someone made called "useful bots" its not overpowered and cheap like the mod "better bots"
I only plan to use these mods solo or with friends, maybe i'll go online every now and then but i won't be hosting. Is this safe or can this get me banned?

the game itself doesnt ban you, however players you join can choose to ban you from their lobbies. theres also a cheater tag but its more of a piracy detector than anything else

it doesn't modify the damage of the ai like better bots does, this mod just makes them a lot more smarter

If you're hosting your own game, no. You can't ban yourself, lol.

The game dev won't ban you since it's P2P.

mod is incredibly cheaty eitherway. the bots are already overpowered normally, and better bots practically play 90% of the game for you

its not better bots, its called useful bots. This one doesn't modify damage or stats

I don't think you can really be banned in this game.
All they really do is slap the label "cheater" on you.

The game won't ban you, most you can get is some host choosing to ban you from their game if they don't like the mod
If it's a cheat, the game will just let the rest of the lobby that you're a cheater, but most people don't care about that (for example, the game labels as "cheaters" people who wear "invalid" masks -whatever that means-)

In this specific case someones using content unlocker: masks, materials, unowned dlcs, etc. And still there is no serious penalty for that which is wholesome, i guess.

I don't know why a Host would kick you for using Useful Bots. Been a while, but if I remember correctly that only works if you're the Host. But either way, PD2 players can get real weird with Modding, if you do anything like that it's just better to be the Host. There's mods out there everyone runs that tell you if someone is using a mod, but it doesn't tell you what that mod does. Usually the legitimate, I'm going to grief your sever and cause problems, mods are very clearly labeled as such.

There is one Mod, I've no idea where it's hosted at I've just seen someone try to join my lobby before with it, that basically renders you immune to being kicked or Banned by the Host. But, if you catch them before they officially join you can get rid of them before their stuff has a chance to load.

But in all my time playing the game I've only ran into maybe 5 or 6 people legitimately cheating and of those three were malicious. The rest of them were just mostly kids that didn't cause any trouble. They weren't No-clipping around spamming rockets and spawning 9,000,000 cops to try and crash you.

But I digress, starting to ramble. If you're going to be modding, just be Host. Saves you a world of headaches.

Yeah. I used to kick people with the cheater logo on their name. But, honestly, I stopped. All they did is use an Unlocker, not really cheating. Then you get into situations where they used the unlocker to get "Kingpin" or "My Little Friend" and in that situation I feel it's 100% justified. There is no reason that I'm aware of why Overkill can't just rerelease the perk-deck and the gun as their own thing removed from Tony Montana directly.
