Lagging on a good PC

I have a problem. I have a high performance PC (I7-12700H, Geforce RTX 3060, 16 GB RAM DDR5), after a playing PAYDAY2 for a while it starts lagging, a one second or less lag that's very irritating. Maybe somebody had that problem? I updated all drivers.

Not sure if its actually lag that you are facing. Payday 2 locks FPS for some to 60, even if in your settings you max the framerate.

Close your game, go to this file path: C:\Users\"YOURPC"\AppData\Local\PAYDAY 2

Edit the file "renderer_settings" and look for "refresh_rate" then change it from 60 to your monitors refresh rate.

Try putting 720p resolution or borderless window screen

Well I'd record a video for you but that would be pointless since the most YT can handle is 60FPS. I have a 144Hz monitor and I could easily tell the game wasn't as smooth as FPS showed it was and apparently this game indeed locks you in a 50Hz refresh rate despite your frame limit settings.

Idk what's your problem weirdo, I don't have anything to gain by lying here, this solved the issue for me so I thanked him for it.

knock it off, it is a potential solution. So would deleting that render setting file and letting the game create a new one. That fixes it for me when the game occasionally starts stuttering a frame or two.

Ok, I solved the problem. I don't know what really worked but, in the launch options I added -fullscreen. Next I'm running this game as administrator and the last thing was changing the GPU settings:
For NVIDIA:
Monitor Tech: G-sync(If available)
Maximum Pre-rendered frames:2
Threaded optimization: On
Power Manegement: Prefer Maximum Performance
Texture Filtering - Quality: Performance

That actually helped me when nothing else did. Happened to me again like 2 days later after I updated my gpu driver, so I tried deleting the whole rendering settings file and that also worked so yea, cheers.
