Hi. You can try some methods
1. Deleting D3DX9_40.dll from your PAYDAY 2 folder and then, re-verify your game again. Here is how you can delete the D3DX9_40 file
How to find D3DX9_40 file step-by-step
  1. Double click your steam client program to open it
  2. On the top left. Click at "Library"
  3. Find the game Payday 2. When you have found it. Right click on the game and chose "Properties"
  4. Go to "Local Files", then click "Browse Local Files"
  5. You should see that D3DX9_40 file. Delete it and verify your game.

2. Delete your renderer_settings file

Let me know if those methods can fix your issue or not.

To be frank 'access violation' crashes can't be solved by anything. It's literally a crash log saying 'Hey, your game crashed we can't tell you the reason'. So there is nothing to work with.

Maybe checking if your graphic drivers are up to date. Or validating the game files. Or doing a fresh installation could possibly help.

I'm glad that your issue has been solved. And since it has been resolved, may I lock this thread?
