-Union 5.56 and Compact 5 in a Body Expertise Grinder Build
-LMG with a backup 100 accuracy pistol in either a Stoic, Anarchist, or Armorer Build
-Minigun and secondary shotgun in Overkill Aced build paired with perk deck of choice
-R93 or Thanatos in Graze Ex-Presidents build
-Akimbo Micro Uzis, Baby Deagle, Katana, and Sociopath perk deck.
FOR DEATH SENTENCE/DSOD:
-M1014 and GSPS/Claire in Anarchist dodge build
-R93 and Graze in either Rogue, LBV Crook, or Armorer Build
-Brenner 21 and GL/revolver in Armorer Build
-You can still run a Light Crossbow dodge build technically.
Honestly, there is no one meta for DW or below anymore, and there's actually quite a few well-respected DSOD builds out there, so don't worry about what the meta is. Try out some weapons you like, pair them with skills that benefit that weapon class, and pair it with a perk deck that suits your playstyle best, whether that's being more of a DPS with a deck like Grinder, a KPS with decks like Sociopath or Ex-Pres, a tank with the likes of Muscle, Armorer, Anarchist, or Stoic, or a dodge player using Crook, Rogue, Sicario, etc. There's plenty of videos online of people's favorite builds. When I first started taking my skill points seriously, I'd frequent The Armory subforum and various YouTube channels, taking the build they had created and remixing it for my own purposes, and the skill system in PD2 is super flexible that I could turn, say, an armorer build Connor Shaw had put together into a more fierce Anarchist build with ease.
HVT for melting dozers and other enemies in bipod mode (or with your secondary)
Suppressors for accuracy and 80 damage LMGs because they’re pretty op.
Grinder so you can constantly stay in combat for longer. Dire Need for when your armor breaks so you can stun large groups of enemies.
Body expertise works well with Dire Need but always headshot unless it’s faster to bodyshot.
Try any build with Tag Team perk deck
I will provide of what perk decks I use with what purpose.
My muscle is meant for distraction and a meat shield on overkill, but is questionable at best on mayhem, even with aced inspired.
The crook build I got is meant to be versatile, but masters of none. Also the crook build in question maximizes armor as possible while maintain the highest dodge I can get out of crook without the optimized dodge potential.
The hitman perk deck I specialized is loud only, but has some tripmine speciality with some versatility for any akimbo weapons.
The gambler I worked with is maxed in having loads of ammo while giving out maxed out ammo bags & be some help deploying Doctor bags.
My rouge build is maximizing dodge obviously, but I have maxed out sneaky bastard and low blow and I need to retain a 10 detection rate to make this build work, but the build has retained some versatility in loud and stealth.
My armorer is about trying to be in the field of battle while being useful with aced portable over9000 saw and having basic extra Doctor bags and ammo bags.
I made the burglar build only stealth, but is a bit cramped if things go wrong.
I build crew chief around helping the team through taking hostages, but I have aced all the controller’s skills except for Stockholm’s syndrome.
So those are the builds from me so far.
Any suggestions to improve those perk decks/builds?
