VR version is not launching!

I'm reading that I'm supposed to get a prompt to select either VR or Desktop version. If I don't launch SteamVR manually only desktop launches, however if I launch SteamVR first and then Payday 2 I get a message that VR version AND desktop version will launch concurently and performance might not be acceptable! Well, DUH! How do I prevent both version from launching at the same time!?

Scroll to the bottom of the DLC list and make sure that the VR dlc is checked then restart steam.

You get that message because steam is not fully recognizing that the VR version is available due to it being set as DLC. If you have it checked, then restart steam and it should be listed twice in your library, with one of them being in the VR tab.

That's EXACTLY what I was hoping for, but unfortunately checked and restarted many times and it still is NOT showing in my VR library!

It doesn't show twice. Just install the DLC, restart steam and DOUBLE CLICK to launch, that forces a pop up to come up and you can pick VR...

Oh yea it does show twice for me, under VR and normal games. Regardless, I just had to double click to launch after the DLC was installed and you'll see the new pop up to pick VR. Let me know if that works.

Selection screen does NOT show up. I get instead 2 windows on top of each other:

Nevermind all of the above. All of a sudden it SHOWED in the VR section and it gives me proper selection screen now.

I think i may have found a solution...not sure, but i have been having the same issue but i will go over my symptoms quick.

1. Game did not boot In VR
2. "Will run on HMD, and Monitor" steam error
3. VR dlc not listed in properties
4. VR executable Missing
5. Payday 2 not listed under VR library

To the potential fix, i say potential because as soon as i did this it started a 12.3 GB download.

So in the process of doing this i read you needed to be opted into the Beta, which the VR content is no longer in beta, so i opted in at the time, and that had no effect. Fast forward to today, i just opted out of the beta content "Tournament" and now the 12 gig download starts, the game is now listed in my VR library and now the DLC is listed, and check marked.

Its current peak time, and my internet is a bit slow at the moment, but if i remember i will report back to say weather or not it has fixed the issue.
