"Better Bots" mod actually helpful?

I keep it short. Since the sniper update I can barely finish DW heists.
And I can't afford to play with someone else.
So I thought about getting the better bots mod. But I'm curious. Does the mod actually improves the game experience?
And are there any unwanted side effects?

Oh and also another thing. After all the weapon changes and tweaks everywhere, which weapons are best if used by bots? Still LMGs?

Yes better bots improves. You'll notice that it also improves converts too!
Unwanted side effect might be that you never want to play with others again?

Best weapons for bots are snipers like the contractor or the r93 and autoshotties like the steakout 12g

The bots become literal killing machines if you just use it to boost the bot reactions.
The unwanted side effects? Maybe the bots become too good at killing so you don't get to kill as many cops?

Well, that's weird. I know that R93 and Stakeout are high-tier, but when I tried a set of R93, AA-12 and an LMG, the shotty and sniper bots were much worse in regards of the killcounter.
But even with LMGs I feel that they lack firepower with the new pacing now.

Well I doubt that I stop playing with others in the future.
But since I am failing almost every DW heist after a 20-30 minute struggle, I will try the mod.

It pretty much just depends on what difficulty you play on.
On lower difficulties, LMGs reign supreme
On DW+, you'll find the Snipers perform better

Of course it all depends on how much a bot is exposed to combat

I personally stopped using it. I will explain why:

So I was on Alaskan Deal, OD.
I got down, my teammate got down and my other teammate got down.
There was one bot standing right next to me, keep in mind I had the Better Bots mod.
And he just stood there, shooting cops. I called him, he would come to me, revive me for 1 second, go back to shooting cops, repeat until he got down.

Normal bots do that sometimes still. BTW I don't run better bots because they made DW too easy for me when I was playing solo before the AI changes anyway.

It was the mod.
In fact, I prefer vanilla bots over the mod since the AI update.

It was a great mod before the Sniper Beta, but now it feels clunky or w/e.

locked since it was necroed, deleted said necros as well. Better bots is more popularly considered cheating now. Other mods such as Iter or iirc one called "useful" bots deal with the bot problem in ways considered more acceptable by the community at large and by extent, us.
