What are you even burping about, troll?
Judging by your profile you don't even own a VR and you also love this game to death. So I can see why you'd respond like that. The true troll.
But, I liked payday 2 vr because its base is fun and doesn't have a ♥♥♥♥ ton of thing to care and doesn't stress the player if you play on mayhem on below.
It's free, it's a little different that it refresh how you play the game, it's in crossplay, which only social games and puzzle games have, and you can use your save from the PC version.
Also, it's a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ miracle that it works.
There 1 shooter too besides social and puzzle games with crossplay. It's called Fast and Low.
next I would implement a couple of nodes you could interact with on your VR utility belt to turn your VR orientation to combat the blindspot issues in smaller room scale areas with basedecks
with just those 2 adjustments, the VR for payday 2 would be superior to most titles built for VR ground up.
(rant over, but I would say my points remain valid)
Sorry. Don't get me wrong, but I can't take that seriously when you never played HL Alyx. But it's good that you enjoyed it. Sadly I can't say the same for me. I wish I could.
So you are comparing a game built for VR to a game where VR was later added on .... right?
wrong
As a VR player, it really isn't the best. Many features are unimplemented, performance is meh, and up until recently the shaders were totally broken and busted which made everything look broken.
There also isn't any smooth turning by default, and you need mods for the game to not crash if both the host and a client are using third-person hand movements.
Most modern VR games have way better controls.
As someone who's been playing VR for a few years now (never touched Alyx yet so if that apparently voids all of my experience then oh well) it's one of the best replayable VR games right now, Best VR game out there? not even close, but it's replayability is the best right now, There isn't any VR game right now that does replayability as well as payday 2 VR, no buts.
I Wouldn't even call payday 2 VR a terrible VR game, It's got a huge weapon selection, a large amount of heists, stealth, loud, the ability to play with pancake users, For what it is, It is a great VR port and I implore you to try it out more to get a proper feel for it.
EDIT: To clarify more what i mean, Half life Alyx relied a lot on the thrill of gameplay coming from a new challenge you've never encountered before and learning how to curb it or defeat it completely, Once you already know how to dispatch all enemies, where they spawn, what happens, fastest way to get through the maps, story, yadda yadda, It just becomes "Playing the same scripted events over and over again and realizing there's little to no changes from now to your last playthrough", It's a beautiful one-time experience and the initial gameplay surprises and challenges would be enough to make it the best VR game out right now, but the replayability factor really makes you ask if the purchase was worth it.
LOL
That's all I have to say to you.
