shotguns are still good, however now most weapons have damage falloff which ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up guns like M1014
A bad deck, playing with which is not fun (unless that hacker user has a low playtime, which means that you can effectively steal all his kills and not allow him yo reach the maximum doddge chance on his abomination of a perk deck)
My double smg hacker build looses on inspire but I am contributing a lot to the kills. It also has a joker and 2 ammo bags which is a rare deployable to see so yeah with the right team combination this trivializes games
but my go to tryhard build is stoic with LMG and arbiter GL
snipers are also extra strong after the main downside of graze got removed, especially the fast firing ones when comboed with a good armor deck
i never liked shotguns(outside of the broken dbreath grimms). they always just felt really inconsistent
With 7 armors, 23 perk decks, 200+ weapons, hundreds of weapon mods, thousands and thousands of builds....Payday 2 gives you more freedom of choice than any other shooter out there! Experiment and find out what works for you.
Stop trying to find an all-around "Best" and copying others, it takes the fun out of the game. It's more about finding the best builds and loadouts for the particular mission you are about to run. I run between 30 - 40 builds and they all have different use cases.
