What does Copycat excel at?

Surely a perk deck this versatile and configurable must have some sort of utility, but I'm not sure exactly what it would be best suited for.

What seems most obvious to me is using it basically like Anarchist, but with most of that massive armor cap sacrificed to gain a lot of health instead. I just tried a sniper build like that on DW Ukrainian Job, and it seemed to work kinda alright, but I don't exactly think I was pushing that build to its limit during that short time.

Is there anything else Copycat is particularly good at? Surely there must be some certain niche that Copycat has an uncontested hold of, and probably several of them. What are generally considered the best Mimicry perks?


Also, I'm concerned about the unchangeable effect of Head Games. Does it mean that Berserker builds can't be utilized effectively with Copycat unless they don't need a bigger damage boost than what can be achieved with Frenzy?

You get a better sociopath/biker/burglar/hitman/grinder( literally muscle with regen, but its more of a sidegrade of trading regen for more health)/ex-presi without the need of dlcs afaik

zerk is a total meme, heck, if they delete the entire fugitive tab it would pretty great for me so I wont see some kevkild wannabe getting killed zerking or some other dude that decided to dump 28 SP into messiah

Isn't that a problem with the users, not the skills? A consistent 80% damage increase for most weapons is no joke


Either way, it's starting to seem like this nagging feeling I got that Copycat's mostly/only just good for health builds is being proven right. Is there much of a reason to go for the armor or dodge increases when each individual health perk is so much bigger in scale?

Copycat's dodge buff isn't as good Rogue's. (By 5% I believe?) I added all health and made my last card the kill grants armor card. My thought is, use it to stay alive in a fight and keep fighting until it's over. I honestly like it. I miss Kingpin and would run Kingpin with it, but I like the kills give cooldown reduction so I didn't go with Kingpin.

Dont pick throwables decks on copycat, they miss a lot of other goodies they come on their respective decks, if anything only hacker and tag team vaper are useful since you can stun enemies o heal someone respectively , heck tag team copycat seems superior since the only thing you are missing is the damage absorbtion, which is crap on dsod anyways

you still get the cooldown reductions, heck I just tested yestarday on a dsod heist, managed to keep the the vape ready to use for the entire heist, or I was just killing so much it didnt mattered

You might want to try the Infiltrator card with Frenzy aced and Iron Man basic. When targeted by an enemy in medium range, you can get the CTV to take 2 heavy shots, and with PiC aced, you can also take a heavy shot to the health and live. It's not guaranteed to work all the time, however, and it is a heavy point investment, but it can be a fun way to play the deck.

Gotta use weapons that work perfectly fine with frenzy hp. Bernetti Rangehitter & KS-12 Urban dmr for 1 shot headshots.
Otherwise yeah frankly hp regen on headshot is pretty ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stupid for a deck that encourages variety, imagine trying to use the Yakuza card lmfao.

The Anarchist card goes GREAT with full dodge + Sneaky Bastard, well by great I mean it's got a super low skill floor, it's the new Rogue brain deck due to the godmode, Dire Need + Reflection stunning multiple enemies (even during godmode) & ignoring armour suppression/being able to force objectives via armour gating is strong.

The deck is quite comfortable but pretty alright in it's strengths. The auto reload is fun for the RPG/Mini/Micro gun. LMGs as well.

Not super strong but DA helps you regen from shots more easily & allows you a shield shot breakpoint/2 shot ICTV.
Not really gonna notice it mid game though tbh but I still like it.
Tag Team copycat is one of my favourite ways to use it.

The first note i can make is that you can use copycat to fake Kingpin, which works well, since the injector synergises with Grace Period excellently. You can also get free 2-shot armour with the ICTV and either one armour boost, Fake Tension, or anything that increases Damage resistance, like brute strength or Close Combat.

kp copycat does not give the pseudo immortality actual kp does. It just heals 75% of your hp & IIRC does not reduce the timer if you actually via armour.

If you use it you'll die interacting with something on DS.
