Is there any disadvantage to 000 buckshot?
I use it on just about every shotgun regardless, have I been unknowingly affecting anything else about the shotgun other than +15 damage?

No. There's supposed to be an ammo pickup nerf on some shotguns, but I believe that was removed a long time ago. Either way, it's best to put on 000 buckshot if you're not using any of the specialist rounds.

You get less pellets per shot, but since only 1 pellet has to hit anyway it doesn't make a difference.

... No? Only 2 of the special ammo types affect the pellet count: HE and AP, both just reduce the raycast (pellet) to one. All others are locked to 11 pellets. Even the flamethrowers have an 11 pellet spray (but with body & shield penetration).

Actually the standard ammo type uses 12 pellets and the 000 buckshot did use 8 unless something was changed.

A neglectible difference at any rate since all my shotguns use high accuracy anyway

Why? Unless you're trying to snipe with the Locomotive or a similar damaging shotgun, high accuracy will work against you. The less the accuracy, the more the spread, and the more the spread, the more enemies you hit when firing at a crowd. Seeing the very high amount of enemies PD2 throws at you, higher spread is generally better.

"High" accuracy being simply long barrel modifications, not going overboard or anything.

I simply want all my pellets to hit a tight area because I use shotguns for bulldozers alot and want as many pellets to hit the face as possible. My playstyle is relatively off meta.
Most of the time i"m using assault rifles anyway but I have a couple of shotgun loadouts.
