Crew Chief & Jokers
I understand that to benefit the team, dominated cops need to be actually dominated, and Jokers only affect the person who owns the Joker.

I'm curious now if there's some sort of inverse usefulness of Crew Chief when it comes to Jokers. Let's assume the only hostages you can take are dominated cops, and every player can and will bring 2 Jokers. This would mean that the Crew Chief player would have to give up using Jokers and can only get half the maximum benefit for the team because there's only two cops to take hostage.

What are your opinions on rolling Joker with Crew Chief? Again, I do know that the actual hostage number should say 4 to get the full benefits for the team, but I'm wondering if other players rolling Joker would negatively impact Crew Chief's effectiveness.

Also, if I were to ditch Joker, would it at least be feasible to get basic Confident?

I've heard that jokers contribute to the hostage count for the last card. I've also heard that the last card is completely broken.

At this point I don't know what to believe.

eh the last card is half broken. It's missing the 8% damage reduction from keeping a hostage.

So you get the 4% hp increase per hostage?

I think that part is working.

I think I heard you also need underdog aced to proc the damage reduction, not sure.

I "think" the damage reduction from last card works with jokers, not sure(thats what the wiki says). But the HP and stamina increases need actual hostages.

I don't know what to believe anymore. The wiki has some bad info too. Maniac has outdated info IIRC.

I played with a friend who noticed that the HP/stamina bonuses were noticeable when there were actually 4 hostages counted by the game. I read in the long guide that Jokers only count as a hostage for the person who owns those Jokers. If there are 4 dominated cops and I turn 2 to Jokers, the game still considers me to have 4 hostages, but the others will only have 2 hostages (and therefore only get half of the maximum bonuses from Crew Chief.)

The Long Guide also says that the max amount of dominated cops is 4+(# of players,) so if every player used Joker, the last perk of Crew Chief would be severely gimped even if you didn't take Jokers, since only 2/4 hostages are taken.

Again, this is assuming worst case scenario and there are no civilians around.

I mean tbh i only really cared about the 8% dr from having a joker.
